It took my Mums cat a good 3 months to get over the loss of her twin sister.  They had been together for 14 years and were inseperable ... it is only within the last couple of weeks that she has finally started to sleep in all the old favourite places.

I would just let Beavis do his own thing for a while and be there to give him lots of love and cuddles when he wants them.  It is really hard because there is not way of explaining to them  :(

Poor Beavis, this worries me cos I have a pair of birmans and they are 14 and only ever been together. They do not know how to react with other cats and just dont have the right cat language.

I hope Beavis starts to get back to normal soon, it must be so hard for him

Luckily we also have Fredcat (my mums cat) who lives next door but spends half his time here , and Bevis and him get along fine , but its not Oscar and Beavis knows it!

Also Fredcat goes home at night (all ours have always been shut in at night) and its then he seems to miss him the most.

Beavis did have a foot fight with Mr Kirst tonight (which he won , as Beavis has sharp claws and is not afraid to use em! :evillaugh:) so thats a good sign as he hasnt wanted to play for a week.

Beavis has always had a bit of a foot fetish since kittenhood - bare feet a big mistake in our house!
