Just on my way out to a meeting earlier and a lady phoned about a stray cat that she'd been trying to get sorted for the last couple of years and she'd had kittens outside. On getting there after my meeting, it turns out the cat is hers but she said she's like a stray as she would only come home now and again because of her other cat attacking her :tired: The other one is spayed but this one who is 5 years old obviously isn't >:( She said she'd been mithering the CP and the RSPCA for the last couple of years about her and waiting for a place but to no avail. She's a gorgeous long haired tabby/white girl with a touch of tortie and has two gorgeous scrummy babies :Luv: :Luv:
-
No wonder the other cat was attacking her if she had'nt been spayed! :(
Good luck with these kitties! ;)
-
sounds like she hasn't tried too hard to get her sorted - glad they are safe now
-
I'm sorry, but any CP branch who knew there was an un-neutered female wandering around would have neutered it straight away. There's no way we would ever leave such a "high risk" cat un-neutered!!!
-
I think it depends on the branch. She said she'd contacted them a few times about this one even when she was pregnant with her last lot. My head must have been frazzled when I posted last night because she is actually a long haired tortie :-[ She seems a really laid back girl but she will need dematting once her babies are old enough, I'm going to try and get the matts out myself but some are quite big :tired: I'll take some piccies of her later :Luv: :Luv:
-
Aww poor baby!
Shame on the branch that left her to get pregnant again!

What I would say about that is that often people lie to try to put the blame on others. I can’t tell you the number of times people have told others they have phoned CP, and it would have been me, but they have not rung or if they did I was out and they didn’t leave a message.
I remember a post on Purrs once from a member who lives in our town and she was told that CP and other rescues did not want to know, when I know for a fact I had spoken to that person and was doing I could to help.

If i could Id take em all , but I already have one and a half cats (fredcat isnt really mine) and Im not too sure how him and Beavis would cope!
Much as my heart says 'take em all' I have to at least try to be sensible! ;)

Just had mum to the vets for Uncle Sean to give her a checkover. He thought she was absolutely gorgeous and she did let him give her lots of fusses until he decided to remove a couple of her matts :shify: She's a little underweight although this has been my major concern with her. He said she has a bit of a tummy on her so not to worry but he has advised now to take her babies off her so she can build herself back up again. She is matted to hell but obviously these can't be done until she is in being spayed but Sean's managed to shave off one near her bum and the worse matt which was on her side. He said she seems healthy and he would be happy to spay her when she's ready :Luv: :Luv: I'll try and take some piccies later of both mum and babies and I'll try and wean them gradually off her the next few days :shy:
-
oh fantastic news Dawn! she is such a beauty too.... so are the babies :Luv2:
look forward to more piccies! :)
-

Sadly the little ginger/white didn't make it :'( :'( He seemed full of beans and then I came down to find he'd died god love him. Mum is starting to put a little weight on now and I've christened her Charlotte, the other little darling is doing really well and is full of the joys of spring and prances round all over the place :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: I was hoping Lesley may want to name him after her gorgeous boy Tarka ;)
-
I would be honoured for him to be named after Tarka, that's lovely Dawn, thank you. :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Thanks hun, I just hope he lives up to his gorgeous namesake
-
I am sorry about the little one :( RIP Little ginger/white.
-
What a shame....RIP Little ginger and white kitty xxx

I still think Charlotte is an utter babe. :)
Sad to hear about the little ginger and white guy. RIP, Teeny Lad.

She is gorgeous :Luv2: :Luv2: I want her to fatten up a little bit more before she goes in for spaying, but hopefully she should be okay in a couple of weeks :)

I just realised it would have been Tarka's Birthday tomorrow, so it seems really special for this little one to be named after him. Meant to say earlier, sorry about his little brother, RIP little Angel.
-
Thanks hun  If I get chance later, I'll get some more piccies of him :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
I think I will get a nice new photo frame, one of those double ones, and I can find a nice piccie of my Tarka and a nice one of your Tarka to put in it, to celebrate Tarka's birthday. :)
-
Charlotte was taken into the vets this evening in preparation for her spay and dematt tomorrow. I'm a little worried as she's still a little on the scrawny side and motherhood hasn't done her any favours, so fingers crossed everything goes fine with her tomorrow :Luv2:
-
Charlotte is now home and fine :Luv2: Sean did her hair cut for her, he didn't make a very good job of it which he admitted to :sneaky: but at least her matts are gone now and she can be ready for rehoming :Luv2:
-
Does she need a jumper :Luv:
-
She's not completely bald, just a little patchy but I can definitely say, Sean would never make a hairdresser :heeee heeee:
-
The gorgeous Charlotte went to her new home yesterday :) She actually went to our local RSPCA's Chairpersons friend which will be a fab home if she settles. I'm sure she'll be fine though, since being with me she's always preferred to be outside but I do think that was because of the cats, dogs and parrots.......I think she needs a quiet household which is what she has now got :Luv:
