Title: Misa scared by the enormus bird
Post by: Gill (sneakiefeline) on April 28, 2008, 19:50:03 PM
Was watching Misa outside this morning and he was happy and sniffing about outside the kitchen.

We seem to be on the flight path to Lyneham and/or Brize Norton and a plane came over really low, looked like a 10 and poor Misa rushed to the cat flap and raced in and sat inside trembling  :(

Molly is exactly the same - they scare her, but her fear developed from a severe phobia to fireworks which has transferred to any loud noise including low hot air baloons!!

Plus Memphis is petrified of the new doorbell. It's always so sad when they are like this, because you wish you could just explain to them that it's ok.

Misa doesnt like door bells either or people!

We often have RAF planes coming over and never seen him react like this before, maybe he saw it coming towards him as well as the noise and thought it was going to attack him.

Aww bless her, must be confusing for cats - a big bird sounding like a hoover!! I don't think Jameson has ever seen a plane before so he'd either freak out, or try catching it!

Oh sorry about the Hercules drifting over your way Gill, must have been a head wind LOL!  :evillaugh: I used to live right next door to Lyneham and the Hercs, the whole house shook when they went over! Not so bad now I've moved a bit further away.

Yes it was a head wind LOL but not a hercules today was a vc10.

I was stationed at Lyneham when the Hercules first arrived and it sounds funny now but at that time each one cost £1m and we used to see them all standing around on the runway and think wow all those millions

Oh I know how poor Misa must be feeling....I remember living in Malton and pegging the washing out when a RAF (bloody loud thing) plane roared past....the noise seemed to come from nowhere!  :shify: Well I ran into the house cos like Chicken Licken I thought the sky was falling in!  :scared:

 :ahh:

I must sound like a looney for doing that but I think it stems from my childhood, living in a terraced street with cobbled roads....the planes would echo around the cobbles and I would run in....

C'mon Misa....were off for councilling!  :scared:
