What is your favourite type of cat or what cat would you love to have?
Wether it be Mog or Ped, spotty or stripy, ginger or black what cat is the ultimate for you?
I would have to say my most favourtie type of cat is the black and white tuxedo cat, the Felix lookalikes.
I like them so much I have two, and would gladly take a 3rd ;D
So here are my fave type of cats (also give a pic example if you can ;) )

Any - so long as it doesn't have a tail ;)
-
Tabbies have got to be number one for me - brown, ginger or grey doesn't matter - it's the stripes that do it for me :) Riley has stripes but they are darker than his grey so quite hard to see so he's a secret tabby :evillaugh: My dream cat would have to be a Bengal although I doubt I'll ever have one, I can admire from afar though :)
-
It's got to be black and whites. They are just so cute!
-
If i had to choose it would be Siamese, I would luv a red point
-
Tabbies or maybe Torties or ......the list could go on! :evillaugh:
Tabbies are my fave....will post a pic when back on my own pc! ;)
-
Suppose I love em all but love big cuddly cats and of course my big cuddly cat is a black and white ;D
-
I adore Tabbies. (esp a certain little guy with white socks, white bib and tufts on his ears!)
Other than that, I love them all although cats with special markings and colours will catch my attention the quickest.

Gingerbread men are my fave :Luv: but I love them all.
-
All of them - especially ones with big chubby faces :naughty:
-
all of them (with fur!) i do have a very strong hankering for a grey puss kit though.... oooh, and with blue forever eyes.... or black with blue forever eyes...... :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
so far i've been owned by black and white and black...... its weird, just realised the colours i wear most would be black white and grey....
-
Short haired ;)
Just to save my hoover for a bit longer!
I love them all. Though we do have our first tabby (kittens do sleep right?)
-
I love all cats but if I could have my purrfect cat then I would have to say I would have to say a Lilac Point Balinese again like my first furbabe Bertie. I just love Balinese and Siamese, they are such characters :Luv2:
Other than that I love long haired cats - I have a Maine Coon and Raggie just now (all cats have been rescues) but I do think with all the Persians that are popping up on here, well I am developing a wee soft spot for them just now too!!
In fact any cat is fine lol
-
a traditional siamese would be my dream cat or a silver bengal - my oh would definately pick a torti moggie
-
I have a weakness for long haired cats - I have a Birman boy at the moment and am looking for a fluffy mate for him - maybe another Birman or a Raggie.
Saying that , all my other moggies have been short-haired and I loved them just as much. :Luv2:
-
I am partial to round-ish cats rather than slim ones. Ginger and blue-grey have always been my favourite colours but these days somehow I grew a big soft spot for white or mostly white ones too. As particular breeds, my favourites are Scottish fold, British Shorthair and Chartreux.
-
Short haired ;)

I love them all. Though we do have our first tabby (kittens do sleep right?)
:evillaugh: Love it - and in answer to your question, very rarely from what I can tell! Are you keeping Gizzy?
CC, I don't think I have a favourite type of cat - I tend to meet cats and see tiny personalities. ;D When I see pictures I generally "ahhhh" at all of them. :)
-
Surprise Surprise it's NFCs for me! ;D Black and Black tabby being my absolute fave colours although I do now have a weak spot for silvers.
-
erm my favourite kind of cat....big ones, little ones, male, female, long haired, short haired, black, ginger, black & white, silver, blue, grey, white, tortie, tabby, exotic, pedigree, moggies..... Does that cover em??
I LOVE ALL CATS!!!!! :Luv: :Luv:
-
Hee, I second that, Lollylou!
I would have to say my absolute favourites would be cuddly ginger toms - Bertie is my third, as we also had two gorgeous ginger boys called Rusty and Buster when I was a child, and they've always made the best pets. But I do miss having a tortie since losing Tilly, and I've always wanted a grey cat too ....
-
I love all cats, but suppose my favourite is burmese (brown like da Swampcat) and otherwise tabbies probably.
-
I love Burmese too, choc ones are my fave.
-
I love all cats too - BUT i especially love persians - so i have my perfect cats really .
Fat and fluffy and most colours -but Winston being Red and White is rather specially handsome .
So, Persians are my favourite , and i love the amber eyes . :Luv2:
-
I am biased toward red and white boys too......................... :Luv:
-
I love em all really .... it's really to decide because temperment has to come into and cats like people are all different.
But I supose if I am going to have to make a decision then it's got be Abysinnians (I would love a blue one) or a "Old Style" Siamese .... or a Devon Rex .... or a burmese .... or a .... need I go on
-
Here's one of my all time favourite cats ;D

Cheers
Leigh
-
hehehe I had a sylvester as a child!
-
My favourite type of cat is a rough round the edges ex entire tom with a huge head and extra toes :Luv:
-
Cant think what mine might be :Luv:

-
short haired. Apart from that, breedwise, I have a weakness for Aby's, siamese, burmese, and a passionate attachment to silver somalis, having met one at the last show I went to. However, basically if is has fur, paws, a tail (or where one once was) and purrs, then it is OK with me :Luv:
-
OK that's it, I vote Linda is excluded from cat show! I mean really.....what's the point? ;) :coolpics:
-
you are forgetting my secret weapon :evillaugh:

-
Oh BC :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:. Who dat?
Have to admit to a real hankering for NFC's or plain long haired tabbies like my angel Aslan RIP
(http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii191/Rosella100/Cats/CIMG0629.jpg)
-
(kittens do sleep right?)
erm, no :scared:
-
Shock its persians for me - I just love their squishy fat faces and cobby bodies :Luv:
I always wanted a black one and I now have Fabes ;)
I would love a Golden Chinchilla - if you ever go to a show in the North West I'll be the one spending ages looking at them and having little chats :evillaugh:
-
Oh BC :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:. Who dat?
the Smidge-meister
-
I love slinky slender shiny cats but I love my chubby Kylie the most :Luv2:
I don't tend to find long haired cats very attractive but they are still cats and I still love them :Luv2:
-
I also like tigers but spose the catflap is too small.
-
I don't tend to find long haired cats very attractive but they are still cats and I still love them :Luv2:
That was me too a couple of years ago Mark, always thought they looked a bit "big girls' blousey", then Aslan came and now Freddie. What can I say? They sorta get t ya :)
-
nope, not long-hairs for me. Too high maintenance. Give me a cat you can run a rubber glove over a couple of times a year and I am happy. If I had to groom them daily or weekly I would fall down on the job big time. Bob was long-hair but he was an accidental cat, and luckily had the kind of coat that did not require regular grooming if you were prepared to cope with white carpets (originally brown  ) ...
-
My favourite cats are the ones that begin with C and end in S and have AT in the middle. :naughty: :Luv2:
:catlove: :lick: :catluv: :cat laugh: :garf:

Well I finally got one of my favourite types of cat, a grey! But I have to say my all time favourite type of cats are Birmans and Raggies-Angels on 4 paws
But saying that I LOVE ALL KITTIES!!!!
Every kitty I see on this site gets an awwwwwwwwww :catlove:
-
Its got to be Colourpoint Persians for me - what a surprise LOL! And I always wanted a Seal-Tabby Colourpoint, and now I have one - the 'Glamorous Gwyngala' (little madam to her friends!)
I especially love the colourpoint persians because of their blue eyes. I've a long way to go before I have the whole range of colourpoints, so far I have 2 redpoints, 1 creampoint, 1 bluecream point, 1 lilacpoint, 1 bluepoint, 1 seal tabby point - oh and a solid red (don't know how he got in there - my Joe LOL!) - the other possibilities of colourpoints are endless, lilac cream, lilac tabby, choccie, tortie, tortie/tabby, red tabby, cream tabby etc, etc ....................don't think I've got room in the house LOL! :evillaugh:

Really? I'd never have guessed
I seem to have always gone for the opposite of what I said at the time I wasnt' too keen on! Believe it or not, I wasn't that keen on gingers until I met Jaffa and he chose me to be his slave. Neither was I keen on longhaired cats but I chose Magpie to come and live with Jaffa and me. Then when I chose Mosi, I went for a semi longhaired breed (despite my general preference for short haired cats) and a red cat despite originally wanting a usual or sorrel. Whatever we say we prefer, their purrsonalities usually win us over no matter what their appearance.
-
Gillian- she is gorgeous :Luv2:
-
I could never choose a favourite cat, although if I had to choose I would pick the most desperate. I feel the needs of the little ones comes way ahead of any indulgence.
-
I love long haired cats they are just big bundles of fluff :Luv2:
But rather like Ela before I'm a sucker for the cat no-one wants. When I saw a pic of Henry I had to have him despite my OH reservations of getting an older cat. Even the CPL were shocked he was the cat I wanted as he is a bit raggedey looking being all skin and bone with scabby ears and runny eyes. But I wouldn't have him any other way I adore my little old man his personality wins me over every time :Luv:
-
As long as they are a feline I dont care :Luv: - Though tabbies to hold a special place xxxx
-
I think it's fair to say I'm a catlover. I was in M&S yesterday and saw what I thought was a black cat with pointy ears on one of their cards so went across to have a look (of course). It turned out to be a silly pic of a little black dress -what I'd thought were cute black cat ears were the shoulders of the dress
This may also prove that with age my eyesight's not what it was..... ;)
-
I really like the ginger tabbys and I looooooove long haired cats, so I guess a long haired ginger tabby would suit me just fine :Luv: Nothing would ever beat my unique boy so ginger would be second best.

This really made me giggle!! I'm like that too... I recently confessed something to my friends that made them all convinced I'm a freak; whenever I'm on a train and go past rows and rows of houses, I do ''cat-flap spotting''... I actually count the number of catflaps I see on the way, and kinda panicks if the trains go faster as I can't keep up the counting!
-
I love all cats, but Ragdolls are my favourites having four of them.
Their beauty takes my breath away.
-
Ela, you can have a favourite type doesnt mean you would have to choose it. My lot are all peoples unwanteds, but im lucky in that my fav type of cat would more than likely end up as a desperate in need type :Luv:

Will you stop changing your username :loon: its so easy to guess who you are!
-
I have been across the grass infront of my house to feed an hedgehog before and it was a tuft of grass !
Also went to see a white cat in the same place as i was worried it wasn''t moving and it was a paper bag !!
-
I was calling kylie in the garden the other day and it was a bit of black underlay on the grass - It was dark!!
I ripped a stair carpet out the other week and gradually putting bits in the dustbin which only goes once a fortnight. One piece ended up on the "lawn" and Kylie sits on it - but not that time she wasn't :-[
-
i would love a grey cat, and I love the look of longhaireds and Bengals, but know I couldnt keep up with them. i am lucky at the moment, as I have one of my favourite colours, a pure black. Even when I have gone to a rescue, I haven't actually chosen a cat, and doubt that will change - as long as it is old and needs a home, it has one.
-
In truth a big cat
-
Tough call - all cats get my vote but I am partial to the madness, the flooffiness and the sheer roundness of a stocky persian . . . . .

Why do they do the buddha pose - Sol does it all the time

It's mad, isn't it?
This pic of Alfie was taken at about 5 in the morning - I had suddenly woken up and thought I heard something at the back of the house. I went into the back bedroom and disturbed Alfie who had been sleeping in the doorway. He's a deep sleeper - and a snorer, too. He sort of sat up in a bit of a drunken stupor and, seeing as the camera was on the desk, I took this pic. Given the state of his eyes (they are cleaned every morning!) and his position, I see his pose in the 'eh? what . . . .?' category . . . .. . :evillaugh:
-

D'you mean a lion or tiger or such? I hear ya!
-
Ooooh a white tiger would be nice , but imagine the size of the litter box!
-
Must say I've never thaught what my "favourite" is but to look at I do like Gingers and Maine Coons although I'd hate to own a Maine Coon who hated to be groomed, couldn't think of a worst senario :scared: :scared:
But I love all cats, even the tempremental ones :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
-

Welcome to my world!
Treats in one hand, comb in the other is how i get away with it.
I love all cats, some do catch the eye for thier looks but it is personality that does win out in the end.

Me too - although my iold man is so fussy the treat needs to be practically put in his mouth (more so Edgar won't nick it) but still doesn't stop the occasional swipe at me when he doesn't like his back end being brushed! :-:
-
Maine coon maine coon - love em!
