Title: Gypsy's Message
Post by: Gillian Harvey on April 20, 2008, 16:36:53 PM: I think Gypsy's sent me a couple of signs that she's safe and sound at the Bridge.

On the afternoon of the day she died I went and sat on the bench right at the top of my garden to try and clear my head and make sense of it all - just as I was sitting there a heard a bird twittering, looked behind me to the back fence and saw a robin. I couldnt work out at first what she was doing, but then she moved a bit further along the fence where there is a lot of ivy, and from out of the ivy popped a little baby robin which mum proceeded to feed. It made me smile, a new life.

On my sideboard in the dining room I have a vase of silk orchids. Every morning I go through to the dining room to open the patio doors and all the cats usually rush outside (even though they could have gone out the cat flap if they'd wanted!). Gypsy however, would always jump up onto the sideboard and proceed to chew these poor flowers until eventually the vase, being very light, would fall over - I'd always say oh no Gyps not again, pick them back up, lift her down and so it went on! You can see from the pics, specially the close-up, how chewed they've been! None of the other cats have ever done it. The day after Gypsy died, I'd come home from shopping and I walked through to the dining room and caught my breath as I saw the vase of flowers over on its side like always used to happen. Now, it was probably the wind as I opened the door, or even one of the others (though I'd never seen them do it before) - but I like to think it was my Gypsy just making sure I don't forget her - as if. :Luv2:
