Luckily someone saw it happen and saved him - Amazingly, he was uninjured and taken to our vet and he is safe with Sharn now. He has a bit of a cold but on the mend. He is very affectionate and gives headbutts but trembles with fear at the same time :'(
Sharn has fallen in love and she kissed him about 50 times when we were there. She said she mustn't get attached but I have a feeling with this one. Sharn runs a professional cattery so is used to seeing lots - Porridge has stolen her heart methinks :Luv2:

I think Sharon has mentioned the gorgeous Porriage/Porridge in the general sect Mark.....Maybe these threads could link up somehow?
He looks quite a big boy and very handsome! :Luv: :Luv:
:censored: :censored: :censored: whoever you are who threw him out of the car! >:(

Cant believe he is only 5 months old, what a bruiser! :Luv2:
-
He has perfect markings. White whiskers, white bib and white sox :Luv2:
-
I truly can't understand anyone getting into a car with purpose of throwing a live animal out of it
-
Aww he looks like our Penguin!
Such a cutie.
-
Poor Porridge, how people can be so cruel is beyond me. He reminds me of our old cat, very distinguished ;). Hope he finds a new home soon, love the name by the way ;D
-
He's gorgeous :Luv:
-
What a handsome young man! :Luv:
Glad he's safe now and i'm sure he'll stop shaking with fear soon. Being thrown from a car would frighten me!
He'll soon cotton on that he's adored and will have a lovely new home where no-one will even contemplate chucking him anywhere ;D
-
Awwwww poor thing and so handsome x
-
Hope they crash on the way home :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:
-
I love him and hope he gets a wonderful home ;D
-
Ahhhh what a gorgeous boy .... how could anyone be so cruel :censored: :censored: :censored:
I'm sure he won't have to wait long for a loving new home.
-
I want to see if I am right and Sharn keeps him. She said she can't afford to keep falling in love with cats as it will happen again. She lost her 22yr old cat last year so maybe she will sway :evillaugh: - She was constantly kissing him :Luv2:
-
Awwww he's gorgeous!! :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
Bless him, how can people be so hideously cruel >:( I hope he is onto a winner here, sounds like it :sneaky:
-
So pleased to hear the wee man is safe and sound... it really infuriates me to hear these stories.
We had a similar incident round here a few months back but it was a dog and not so lucky! Scum of the earth these people.
-
While I was at the vet with Jake, some people came to view Porridge and are collecting him Friday ;D - They wanted him kept for a few weeks until they get back from their holiday but Sharn said he would be gone by then so they are getting someone to house sit. Sharn really wanted to keep him but said it wasn't the right time - Her daughter, Shannon fell in love with him as well and had been taking him in the house and taking him to bed with her. She is not very happy with Sharn right now :-:
-
Good on Sharn for sticking to her guns.. This happens so often.. Why an earth go looking for cat when you are away.. Still they seemed a lovely young couple with two kiddies to amuse him for hours... I could of rehomed him several times over but he has to be an only cat due to his sneezing issues!
-
She told them straight that he couldn't be kept it a CP pen for weeks as it needed freeing up for another needy cat and as we know, anyone that meets Porridge would fall in love :Luv2: (Besides he craves attention and it's not fair keeping him cooped up for longer than necessary).
-
Glad he has got a home - tricky one about holding him - I would have done, and have done, as it is better to go after they have been away. I suspect they went looking for a similar reason to the people that I have dealt with - they didn't realise how many there were, and thought they would have to start weeks in advance.
-
Unfortunately, i have stuck to a policy of not holding cats for longer then say a week, as during the summer it gets silly.. Okay if we dont have any on our waiting list but its not fair on the cats being in a pen longer then need be, esp with cats like Porriage that i can rehome several times over... May seem mean but we have a list at the moment and some are quite urgent so as soon as Porriage goes we will move on...! People should realise we are not a cattery!!...
Anyhows.... as i didnt know about this holiday with this couple i wll have to remember to ask people on the homing line now, as its usually something you dont get to hear about until half way down the rehoming route.... Like "oh by the way, i am off to Spain for 4 wks next week"!
-
Mark seeing the first photo he stole my heart big time. He's a stunner.
I am just please he is safe and loved now. :censored: :censored: that did that to him, sorry but I hope something terrible happens to them, they deserve it. Eye for and eye and all that.
-
Porridge goes to his new home tomorrow!
-
Excellent news that Porridge has a new home ... hope he has settled in OK and will get all the love and attention that all felines deserve.
-
;D

There is a follow-up to this.
Sharon told me this morning that the people who rehomed him, who appeared to be very nice turned out to be not such great owners. Apparently, Porridge liked to go walkies. Also his cat flu came back and the "caring new owners" couldn't be bothered to deal with it. They phoned over xmas saying they wanted rid and Sharon found a place at the NHC but they couldn't be bothered to take him there. Last week, Sharon took a call from a neighbour saying that porridge was at her patio door in a very bad state - the owners had abandoned him. Sharon advised the legal aspect of signing over and the nice neighbour made the owners sign him over to CP - he is still at the vet recovering :(
-
Poor baby :( How can people be so wicked :( I hope they are blacklisted from adopting full stop >:(
-
>:( poor little boy to be landed with two sets of hideous owners. This must be a nightmare for rescues - how the hec do you really know who is going to be a good owner?
-
Yep.. i have made it known to local rescues and CP that they are not worthy of any kind of animal. But of course thats as much as we can do..
-
So very sad and will change the titrle for you :(
-
That's appalling! Poor Porridge. I hope he is soon somewhere where he can be spoiled rotten and given love in the bucket full. He deserves the very best now, to make up for the bad that has happened to him.
-
That is heartbreaking - poor Porridge , hope someone gives him the best home ever and he is spoilt rotten .
As for these so called owners -hope they rot in hell and when they get ill no-one cares and they suffer in the most horrific way ever . :censored: :censored: :censored:
How is Porridge doing ?
Maybe Sharn will keep him now ? :sneaky:

That did cross my mind. I'm not sure if she has another cat now but she does have a big scarey ex-police dog.
If I allowed my heart to rule my head, I would have him - but I know OH really would not be happy. As it is, I have the vet coming tomorrow as Alice is having problems.
-
That's disgusting, the poor little soul :( how can people be so cruel and after all he's been through.
-
Poor little man .... keeping everything crossed for him to make a speedy recovery and find a new loving FOREVER home!
-
Mark you could just foster him! Hope all goes well with Alice
-
Mark you could just foster him!
Alice was a foster! :evillaugh:
She just keeps sneezing every once in a while and has done for ages. Also one of her eyes runs a bit once in a while. It could be the heater. Her appetite is fine and she is well in herself - as well as she ever has been - ie never leaves the room
-
Poor Porridge to be lumbered with two horrible sets of people. Hope he recovers well.
-
When Sharon told me this morning I had forgotten who he was until I looked at the old thread. I remembered how besotted Sharn was. She adored him and she sees a lot of cats running her own cattery. It is cat heaven where she lives. Semi rural with a huge garden.
-
:censored: :censored: what is wrong with people! going to a rescue choosing a cat knowing his back ground then not even bothering to look after him!!!! i hope they rot :censored:.
Hope poor Porridge gets better soon, sending lots of healing vibes
-
Poor Porridge, how can people be so cruel. totally heartbreaking
-
Hope this boy is better soon and is luckier with his new home.
-
How is Porridge doing today?
-
Poor, beautiful boy. :Luv2: What did he do to deserve two such horrible owners >:( May they both rot in hell!
Hope Porridge is recovering? :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Poor boy, he's had such rotten luck that a truly wonderful home must be just around the corner for him :wish: :wish:
-
The Vet & VN have just left after seeing Alice (she has had a convenia jab and eye stain to make sure her eye isn't scratched)
I asked about Porridge and the VN said he is having good & bad days and they are getting to the stage where the good days are beginning to outnumber the bad :)
She said he is still very snotty and if you are nearby when he sneezes, you are covered :evillaugh:
She said he is a real character and it seems they are really fond of him :Luv2:
-
Fingers crossed he makes a full recovery :Luv2:
Hope Alice is ok too!
-
Alice is over it I think. She was purring downstairs. I also got him t look at her back legs. He said there are no lumps so she is probably a bit arthritic. He said he doesn't like the idea of putting a cat on permanent Metacam unless they really are in pain and suggested I get her going on Glucosamine again. I have some Noractive and I asked if I could use up Willow's cystease and he said it should be fine as it is still glucosamine.
-

Mark, did you not know Sharn lost her doggie last year? He was PTS. :(
I doubt Sharn could have Porridge as he would be concidered a risk to her cattery clients.
-
I didn't know about Sharn's dog :'( (sorry, I had the wrong emoticon before). I always remember she had to shut him away before I went in the house :evillaugh: She invited me over a few times but I never managed to get round to it. I saw her at Sharon's cream tea and another time outside Tesco :evillaugh: - I really will have to get my finger out and see her over the easter break

Any update on Porridge?
-
I dont normally like porridge -but I would certainly love a bowl of this fella :Luv: -he's gorgeous.
Poor little man - I so hope it is 3rd time lucky for him, and I hope he isnt waiting too long xxxx
-
Porriage is still at the vets. Still snotty so he will be tested for things next week to see how best to treat with antibotics. Although better still needs to be at the vets.
-
Awww poor little man :( At least he's improving and is in the best place :Luv2:
-
Poor little guy and he must winder what he has done to deserve this :(
-
How is little Porridge doing?
-
Porriage was moved to Crawley and Reigate CP where he is currently in care. He is on their website and i think up for rehoming. He was rehomed out the area for obvious reasons (i.e his background and way he came into our care)
-
Aww, hope he soon finds the loving home he deserves :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
:Luv: Fingers crossed for him xx
-
Have you heard if Porridge was rehomed Sharon?
