Title: 2 Homeless Older Cats
Post by: madasacatter on April 17, 2008, 10:28:39 AM
I had a message last night from another rescue board I am a member of.  She said -

've heard of 2 x 13 yr old cats that desperately need somewhere to go. Any ideas? Ginger tom and black and white queen. Neutered and vaccinated. Currently have access to a house and shed. Owner is moving out and can't take them with him. Has said they need out asap. Unfortunately they haven't got rescue back up. I'm not actually dealing with this one but have been advised of their plight so thought I would ask around. They're in the North East.

Thanks

If anybody in that area can help, I will let her know.  Many thanks.

Sorry been at the vets with the Mum and her 4 kittens for a check up!  They are fine and the vet thinks they are a good size, considering they are her 3rd litter.

The quick answer is I don't know, but I will ask.  Thank you.

Sabrina, many thanks for your offer of help.  I have been in touch with the lady who has asked the question, and passed your details onto her.  Have been tied up with vets,  foster cats, dentist and taking Gold Kennel Club Test last night.  We so nearly passed but my dog sat up from her "down" to see where I was in the out of sight bit!  Oh and we have our oldest son in a hospital in Tokyo with head injury, so been trying to find out more about him.

So you should be hearing from someone soon, fingers crossed.  Once again, thanks everyone for the help, I do appreciate it.

:sorry:  I received this pm overnight from the lady who wanted to find a rescue for the older cats.

Hi Judith

I'm very sorry to say that my contact can no longer get hold of the owner which because of the circumstances very probably means he has had the cats pts.

Can you thank the lady who offered to help them. It really is appreciated.

Michelle

I would like to thank everyone who offered to help these cats, and I wish the general public would a) Learn to plan ahead if at all possible and b) Learn to have some patience, as I am sure it would have been sorted out quite quickly.

Not a good start to the weekend:(
