Title: Odd toilet behaviour.
Post by: Pinkbear (Julie) on April 16, 2008, 23:48:20 PM
My Tilly has started to behaving oddly this evening. She's been urinating in unusual places and just about a tea spoon each time. She's also been cleaning her private parts a lot. She doesn't appear in any pain. Eating and drinking okay. She had a senior blood test two weeks ago and that was fine. And nothing new in the house that could have upset her.

Any thoughts?  :shify:

My only thought would be to speak to the vet tomorrow because infections can come on very quickly especially in a senior cat.

I hope that Tilly is OK

I will be talking to the vet tomorrow, Gill, and I thought she might have a touch of cystitis at first, but she's tearing around like a lunatic and seems perfectly happy. She's also never had cystitis before. Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions...  :shy:

Sounds like cystitis to me too, - well it was my first though,

When Jess had his first bout he was still tearing around too, but the cleaning and frequent passing of urine are the classic signs

This is exactly what Samantha does when she has one of her bouts of cystitis....I think it's her way of letting me know. Go to the vet PB and get some antibios.
