Last year i may of posted something about Mabel. She was found wondering around in a road.. An eldery puss who we took in and was found to have FIV and thyroid problems. Despite that we found a lovely lady called Jenny to take her on with another FIV puss called Bear.. Mabel has been poorly she is a lovely calico tortie around 15 yrs old.. Xrays revealed cancerous lump nr the heart.. She was taken home for hospice care until such time as she is suffering.. Poor mabel.
We just are not doing too well lately on the oldies. losing several of our long term fostered cats that we support financially.. I think we have lost 6 since the beginning of the year.
Felix, Suzy, Ticco, Max, Cleo... all abit sad about Mabel but she has had a good six months of TLC with a lovely dedicated owner...

So sorry to hear about Mabel but pleased that she has the needed love and care

So Sorry for Mabel amd all the others you've lost. At least they've had some tlc and been better off than they might have been without you and the fosterers - they ended their lives happy and I'm sure Mabel knows how much love she has been given and that you are doing as much as you possibly can for her.

Another sad story......poor little babe. I hope Mabel is able to enjoy a few more weeks of love and contentment before she becomes too ill, bless her.
Lots of love to the little sweetheart. :catluv:

Sadly Mabel was put to sleep yesterday.. She had FIV, thryoid problems, but succumbed to cancer on the heart.. She was at least 15yr old and was found by us in July in the middle of a road in town.. A lovely dark tortie. Somewhere on Purrs i have her thread but it was a long way back..
RIP Mabel... dearly loved in your last year..

I am sorry, so many of us have cats going to Rainbow Bridge just now.

Poor Mabel :'(
Here's her old thread with pic http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,5675.0.html
Sad as it is, better to have 9 months of good care and PTS gently than run over or suffer the illness :(
-
poor mabel but yes Mark, it is horrible to think of the ones who are sick and don't make it into care
-
Indeed the lovely lady that took on Mabel also has another FIV puss called Bear! She was a lovely lady taking on two FIV cats... We could do with people like that every now again!
-
Sorry to hear about Mabel :( I'm glad that she had someone to love her and care for her before she went to rainbow bridge. RIP Mabel :RIP:
