Also, thinking about it, Ron probably doesn't have room for another scratcher - he has quite a few already. His blind cat indoors might like it though  :)

The last one I bought was totally ignored and is now gracing a foster pen so I'm not buying any more  :evillaugh:

I was lucky though as I got it in a pet shop closing down sale along with a Whiskas bed. This was also ignored. I ended up getting more than I paid for both for the Whiskas bed on Ebay  :evillaugh:

Does anyone know if this would be big enough for cats of just over 6kg each? They seem to dwarf most other things  . . . . . I've seen them on Zooplus for £34.90 and was thinking about buying one but may well wait to see how this auction goes as I am in Brighton . . . . . although let me know if anyone is thinking of bidding for Ron and, if so, I won't bid!  :)

Seriously, another tower or scratcher is probably the last thing Ron needs in his pens now thinking about it.

I have had really good scratchers from these people at cat shows -www.catscratchers.com ( Russell Hardy ) and they last for years .

I reckon the Ancol Fat Boy is tough to beat. My portly persian and 7.5kg BSH both love it and it's strong enough for a person to sit on! If you shop around you can buy it for around £25 and it doesn't look shredded within a week

Was drooling over the activity centres on catscratchers.com last night!  ;)
LOVE the pagoda model, I need to buy a floor to ceiling affair as the rabble have a need to get high and theres not much opportunity downstairs.
My boys are also massive, (at least 7kg) so the pagoda might not be stable enough  :(, needs a wider base.....
