Title: Identichip Locate
Post by: claws n purrs on April 03, 2008, 14:48:04 PM
Hi,
I'm considering paying for the 'Identichip Locate' service for my cats but before I send the payment off, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and whether it proved useful/helpful?

If that is the method that uses chips on the collar of the cat to help you find the cat, one member at least knows where the collar is (in the middle of a pile of brambles) and the cat is safe home. Others whose cats stay more firmly attached to their collars, have found it useful in limited radii from the house/locator

BC it's a service where you pay a membership fee.

The service you get is if your pet goes missing you dial a number and then they will contact all the local vets, dog warden etc etc etc They create posters for you to send out. Not sure what else they do as I've never used it.

I have Molly registered with Petid which isn't too dissimilar.

oh, I think I already have that ...

silly me :-[

but the one time Smidgeon went missing was before he was chipped, so had forgotten - will have to read up the paperwork ... Mind I would rather call them myself so I could be confident all the options had been covered off ...
