For years I've kept the loo lid down to prevent furries falling in ;D I started doing it before I got Jaffa, and it's now such an ingrained habit that I don't think I could leave it up if I tried. Tonight His Mosiness has discovered that he can lift the lid up with his paw 8) Given his liking for water, I really don't think that's a good idea :shify:

It's awful when they suss out things they shouldn't! Another thing to worry about

You can get child proof handles that you fit over the lid (they anchor themselves at the back of the loo) that holds the lid down. Will find you a link if you want to get one.

Something like this. THough I know there are more attractive ones.

I might have to get one of those!
I'm not sure how he did it tbh, as I wouldn't have thought he'd be strong enough to lift it. It's not the lightest of loo lids but he managed somehow. I think he maybe pushed his paws and nose between the bowl and the seat or something. He was definitely raising it up and then letting it drop! Unless I have a poltergeist ;)

Good thing Mosi doesn't live too close to Oliver, I would definetely NOT want him to give my boy some weird idea... He already learned to open small drawers and make horrible mess of it!!

Hahaha - the determined ones always find a new way round things! I suppose you could always put a cat loo seat on it and see if you can turn it to your advantage! :naughty:
