Marc the Vet here from Channel 4's Paul O'Grady Show !
I just wanted to let you all know about my new website that I’ll be launching this Autumn, which will give you, the cat lover, the chance to rate and comment on pet-friendly services e.g. vets, pubs, hotels, groomers, catteries and kennels, etc.
ThePet.net will be a unique and ground-breaking site, for pet owners by pet owners, so the more interest and reviews we can invite, the better for all of us, and most importantly, our pets!
The result will be much improved standards in the pet industry and a friendlier world for our four-legged loved-ones.
Please register your interest today - Link removed by Admin - Link to be added to our links section on Marc's request :)
Thank you very much for your time and support, and please pass this on to all your pet-loving friends!

Welcome to Purrs :welcome:
-
Sounds like a good idea!
:welcome: to Purrs ;D
-
PS I love the Paul O'Grady show
-
HI Marc :welcome: to Purrs :)
Sounds like a great resource for Pet people ;D Have visited the site and looks like it will be up and running by Autumn this year. ;D
Thanks for pointing it out to us. :thanks:
One of our guides on the forum is not to have advertising links on the main forum so have removed your link instead we provide a links section (up on top menu bar) where approved links to sites can go. We have to do this or we get inundated with advertising threads. I would be pleased to pop a link to your site in our links section if you like. :)
Do you have any animals? LOve to hear about them :)

Thanks for your message Tan - totally understand. Thank you also for your support of my new project.
I've not got a cat right now but I really want an old rescue one from Cats Protection soon. I worked at their phenomenal National Cat Centre a few weeks ago and sadly there are so many elderly pussy cats abandoned for the most stupid reasons. Makes me quite angry actually.
Anyway, thanks again Tan,
Marc.

Good on you for considering an older cat - I have 6 here, all are over the age of 8, 3 due to owners health, one due to owner emigrating and 2 that were stray (so only estimated ages). The worst are the ones I have taken from the vets cos they have no longer been wanted.

:welcome: to Purrs Marc :) The site sounds a great idea ;D You'll have to introduce your furbabe to us once you decide on which one to get, the forum is full of nutty cat people as I'm sure you will have realised :evillaugh:
-
:welcome: glad your'e thinking of adopting an oldie - I've adopted several that have been in their teens, theres something about the well worn character of an oldie! :evillaugh:
-
Welcome to Purrs, Marc, nice to see you here :)
-
Welcome to Purrs, Marc! :welcome:
A friend of mine fosters oldies for Cats Protection so that they can live out their days in a home environment. To say that these cats are characters is an understatement - went there once to photograph a 23-year-old tabby lady called Cola and she was such a willful little madam, bless her! :Luv2:
She decided I was NOT going to take her photo and what was I to do? :evillaugh:
Good luck in looking for a feline owner friend. ;D
-
Hi Marc and welcome, I also love the Paul O'Grady show and watch it as much as I can.xx
-
HI Marc
Link to your site is up in our links section here ;D http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?action=links;cat=23
If you would like any change in the wording, let me know. :)
Look forward to the launch of the site later this year :)
If any Purrs members have opionions of Pet friendly establishments etc, pop on to Marc's site and put your reviews in. :)

Hi Marc,
:welcome: to Purrs. Hope you decide to become a regular on here .... inbetween all your other commitments of course. I can certainly say having a dashing young vet as a member of the forum is no bad thing in my opinion :evillaugh: ;) We would love to hear about your new furbabe when you get him/her.
All the best
Sam, Foxy, Zephyr and Rossi xxxx

Well, you've come to the right place, Marc! :evillaugh:
As I'm sure you'll realise, we're not only a friendly group of mad cat ladies and men, quite a few of us work in rescue. Some are Cats Protection, or Cat Action Trust, and many of us are small one man band rescues. But it's a powerful group and we have been known to move mountains when help is needed urgently. Sometimes we call ourselves the Pussy Cat Mafia. Trawel through our old rescue threads and see.... perhaps we should should come on your show?? :wow: :evillaugh:
Anytime you want a furbabe, you just ask us. We'll sort you out. ;)
-
Sometimes we call ourselves the Pussy Cat Mafia.
That made I laugh :evillaugh:
Marc, you must must must rescue a kitty cat from one of our rescues, some of us can even help you choose if you like :naughty:
-
Hello Marc and :welcome: to Purrs
Glad to have you on board and look forward to seeing you posting
-
:welcome:
At some point admitting your a vet is going to get tiresome :evillaugh:
One of our guides on the forum is not to have advertising links on the main forum so have removed your link instead we provide a links section (up on top menu bar) where approved links to sites can go. We have to do this or we get inundated with advertising threads
Thanks for clarifying that, i thought i got it right :)

Welcome to Purrs, Marc. I caught a little bit of the show on Monday, but didn't see the most of the section involving animals....typical! :innocent:

Saw you Marc with the howling dog and sneezing bunny

Hi Marc nice to see you on purrs (welcome :welcome:). Marc is one of the best vets i have ever met, He was working at the new Priory veterinary in Brighton when I first met him and he could never do enough for any little cat I ever took to him, and at any time of the night as Well and i think the new priory veterinary will never be the same without him. And i would like to say if anyone on Purrs needs advise he is the vet to get in touch with, he is a great vet. all the best Mark hope to meet up with you again in the future Ron at lostcatsbrighton
