Lucy May 1994 to March 19 2008
You didn't really 'sell' yourself in the Cats Protection pen - it was your adorable friendly big tabby brother (Junior, also dearly missed) who did all the 'front of house' while you peeped crossly over the side of your bed. Always tough and independent you decided you didn't like the other cats and made the little old lady down the terrace your choice of sofa during the days. Then one by one the other cats were no more, and you blossomed as an only cat. The terrible night when you got hit by a car and dragged your maimed leg home, your courageous fight back and learning to run around on three legs. You were there for me through the deaths of both my Mum and Dad, and my divorce. And you survived for over two years after kidney failure was diagnosed. Always ready to welcome old and new friends into the house and get some lap action from anyone passing through, you were so trusting and open hearted. I miss you so much.

So sorry to hear about Lucy,
Sending you a big comforting hug
She'll be in a lovely place now with new friends, restored to good health and purring merrily.
We all know what you're going through, but we're all here for you

Bless her beautiful heart.
She was a gift sent to you, and blossomed when you needed her the most. You, in turn, were a gift to her. giving her a second life (and then a third one).
Trust me... she is there waiting for you. Playing with my 'gang' and those of others. But watching for you.
You WILL be together again. In the interim the love still flows. She can still see you. We have but to open our 'eyes' to see them.
All my love to you both.

Thanks so much for the lovely comments you have all taken the trouble to post. This is the first thing I have posted, although my friend Gill, Dinah's Mum, introduced me to Purrs and I have taken a great interest in everything people discuss. This has been a real comfort to me.

We were so glad to have met Lucy and to have been on the recieving end of her welcoming purr and cheerful expression, and so sorry to hear she had gone after all you had been through together.
RIP wonderful tabby girl.
