I had to see my mortgage advisor today, and he asked whether I still foster when I was leaving, as his mum keeps saying she would like a cat, but she has a certain 'kind' in mind, and doesn't want kittens. I have said I have a couple that might be ideal - she wants cats that are willing to sit with her, and not going to be aggressive. She is retired, and around most of the time, some of you might know who I have in mind. She is away this weekend, so he is going to speak to her on Mon and let me know.
-
Finger crossed , but who do you have in mind? :shify:
-
Rolo.....I hope! I think he's absolutely ace. :) Hoping this potential home works out, Desley.
-
Yep, that is who i have in mind. As much as I love him to bits, he needs somewhere else - caught him spraying again today (on something that came from a house with other cats) and he has also been in a fight again today, but dont know who with, the other cat must have ran fast, as I couldnt see it. Had a lovely night with him, I had to shut Moses in the cat room cos she kept picking on him, so he wanted to sleep on the bed, Molly wouldnt let him, but he wouldnt stop trying, so in the end, I picked him up and put him under the duvet next to me - he settled straight away, and was there most of the night!!
The bulk of people who come do fall in love with Rolo, but so far everyone who has come would have been unable to adopt him, mainly due to other cats, so it is quite hopeful for him, and he hasn't realistically been waiting that long, especially when you think he wasn't available for rehoming till Jan.
-
Oh my goodness, any news?
-
Everything crossed here :)
-
No e-mails from mortgage advisor, but he might not be able to speak to her till he finishes work. Advantage is that he does all every contact no for me!!
-
Awww, I do hope it works out. He's such a sweetie.
-
any news?
-
Sending positive re-homing vibes for Rolo~~~~~~~ :wish:
-
Still no news, but I am willing to be patient.
-
oh fingers crossed Desley, sound like it would be ideal!
:)
-
fingers crossed here too
-
No news is good news?
-
my crossed fingers are starting to itch for rolo!
hope you hear some good news soon!!
:scared:
-
Still no news, and I Can't find his e-mail to ask!! My mum was at the vets yesterday, and there was a lady there saying her parents were considering an older cat, so she told her to take my details, so fingers crossed for that too. If not, I Will have to start pushing Moses and Rolo's kittenish antics when people ring up for kittens!!
-
Hopefully there is a delay just because of the holiday weekend? The least they could do is get back to you!
-
Yeah, but he did say she was undecided, so she might just need time. Although to be honest, you get used to people saying they will ring you back and not doing, I think the last 4 people who said that to me haven't been back in touch - only one left a no, I have left her 2 messages and she hasn't responded. Their perfect home will come in time.
-
Keeping everything crossed for a positive outcome :)
-
no news on any of the above, but I do have someone coming looking at hobo on Thurs, so fingers crossed for him. He is a sweet cat, loves to dribble on you!!
-
WEll, I had a phone call off someone last night wanting an adult to older cat, and she isn't bothered by the ages of either Moses or Rolo, so she is going to come next Thurs - she can't adopt for a few more weeks, as they want to get all the decorating done first, so I need to have a chat with the rescue and see if we could reserve one of them for her.
-
fingers and paws crossed for both Moses and Rolo!
-
Hi Des
What happened with Hobo? Good luck Moses and Rolo I hope one of you gets your new home though I am sure you wouldn't mind staying with Des. ;)
-
Hi C, he went to his new home, and is doing well. I hope they will fall in love with one of them too, I have just had an e-mail asking about Hobo (thought I had updated CC, obviously not!!), so mentioned Rolo and Moses to them, and also had an enquiry about Moses, but they want her as a friend for another cat, and she isn't happy with the other cats, so deserves to have the rest of her life as an only cat. At least we are getting enquiries off people willing to consider the older ones (we have a 6yo in at the rescue now too), so can only hope they all find fab homes, however hard it will be to let Rolo go - although last night I could have happily let him go when he sprayed on the bathroom door.
-
Glad to hear Hobo's life has turned out well for him. Lovely for you to see that he has settled and is happy, so rewarding I can imagine.
As for my friend Mr Rolo, what can I say? He really doesn't do much to help himself does he? Love him though. Good luck to both him and Moses.
-
Thanks I am really pleased too. Yeah, it is the good side of rescue, knowing that htey are happy in their new home, and by letting them go to a new home, it frees up space for another needy babe (although it doesn't at the moment!!).
No, he certainly doesn't!!! He had 3 fights last week, loads of scabs on him at the moment!! Him and Moses keep acting weird, there is lots of batting going on, but no noise, so I can't work out if they are being aggressive or just playing
-
Glad Hobos gone to a lovely new home....hope Rolo's as lucky soon. (I have a soft spot for the little bruiser!)
-
Thanks.
-
Oh that Rolo has some personality. Give him a head butt from me (if you can that is)
-
How did Thursday go Des?
-
They let me know at 6.50 that they couldnt make it (I ahd tried ringing a few times), and wanted to come tomorrow, so I e-mailed the pics, and she replied saying that her hubby has to work, so they will have to rearrange but she is not sure when. Grr
-
 I would be there in a shot! :shify: Hope they dont let you and puds down!
-
WEll, they can't have the cat just yet as they are decorating, they said last week it would be 3-4 weeks, so there is no rush on their part.
