Any one used one?
I'm thinking of getting one to try and encourage Jess to drink more

Yep, we had a catit fountain and now have a drinkwell fountain. All our cats like them.
-
I have both as well and all my cats like them, though Felix does like to play with the drinkwell and can make the floor really wet around it. His favourite trick is to take the top off and remove the filter.

The Drinkwell platinum is excellent - really quiet and the extra reservoir hold loads ;D

Same here. I opted for the Drinkwell Platinum because Smokey kept sitting on top of my CatIt one and soaking my nice cream furniture
I got a great discount. It was on offer via VetUk (please use a rescue link to give them a little extra funding) and if you wait long enough, Milly's Mum usually posts great voucher links in the bargains section of Purrs. I got an extra 10% off!

Well I ordered a catit fountain from petplanet, should be here monday, hope the boys like it
-
I got a catit, the safer option incase they didnt like it as its cheaper than the drinkwell.
-
I had a catit but have since replaced it. Had troubles with it failing to fountain. The one I have now (Drinkwell) is infinitely better and the cats all love it. All are drinking far more than before (although they still love the water running from the taps!)
-
That was the reason I got a drinkwell originally as it is close to a tap. Doesn't the catit run over the globe like a curtain of water?
After 3 years, I got the platinum an although it's expensive, it's money well spent on a cat that doesn't eat much wet food.

Hi Mark
Yes, that's why I got it too.
Edgar had a huge problem......... We had an emergency trip to the vet. New vet at the time. She told me about a lot of tricks to get cats to drink. This was one.
So I went and got the catit. The pet store fellows said it was best. And, yes, it is - or is supposed to stream over the globe. Mine rarely did. At best we got a few streams. Now, to be fair, I live in a place where we have hardest of hard waters. And I thought originally that the fault with the catit might be because of that. But ultimately tossed it.
Got the new one with reservations. But it has never had that problem nor failed to function. Wish I had this one first.
As for my babies - they are drinking more than ever before. Even Edgar. We'll start another thread sometime about dry versus wet food........

I have a cat-it one too and 2 bowls of filtered water in the kitchen and one upstairs too.
They only have the water filled up from the water fiter jug.Vet said it was better to use filtered water from when Smartie had cystitis.
I haven''t seen the Platinum drinkwell - will have a look at it .

Well it has arrived this morning, so we shall spend this evening putting it together,
