Just wondered as Caroline picked up some RC diabetic food for CHarlie. If he doesn't like it, I have some Hill's M/D for Kylie that is supposed to be for weight loss but says "also for normalising blood sugar levels in diabetic cats" - I thought I could drop some off for him to try if it's OK.

Iv never had a diabetic cat but it is used for the condition, best ask the vet why he said about the other type, probably hes found more like the taste of one more than the other :-:

I've never had any luck with any kind of RC but no trouble getting them to eat Hill's. I just changed Kylie over from R/D to M/D no trouble. Anyway, hopefullly Charlie will like the RC

Hi Mark
Its going to be difficult if Charlie dosnt like his biscuits? maybe we can try a few other varieties.. Some vets dont stock all makes of food..Also does Vet UK do diabetic foods? At the moment we are getting from the vets and its bound to be dearer..

VetUK does all the Hills and some others. I will look into whether the M/D is the correct one - I will ask the vet in the morning.

VetUK do 4 different brands of some food, and I think it might include diabetic food. Wet food is supposed to be best for diabetic cats though, JS started a thread on it, I dont know whether Gillian just posted, or posted a link, but might be worth looking, was at weekend I think.
