I've never been to one but can't say I am comfortable with the idea. Different for dogs I suppose. Although I am very anti-docking.

I go, although I won't be at that one, I did meet some purrs people at the national last year

That is the FIFe all breed International cat show on 17th-18th May at the North Kesteven Leisure Centre in Lincoln. The judges are from Norway, Sweden and Switzerland for my category and I've not shown under any of them before so should be interesting to see what they think. As it's a FIFe show the public are allowed in all day and so you can watch the judging of the open classes etc throughout the day as well as the Best In Show if that sort of thing interests you. It's usually a good size show as well with a wide mix of breeds there.

I am not keen myself as regards to the showing aspect and the cats travelling -mine would absolutely hate it anyway.
2 don''t like going in the car or the cat basket at all and none are keen on being picked up very much either.
I ask, as i have a stall at a few shows throughout the year (locally usually and this is just up the road from me ), i have been selling diamonte t-shirts and designs that go on all sorts of clothing -just iron on.( got the last to sell this year now -not sure if i will be getting any more ) and show cards ( and any other bits i have been able to get hold of ).
I use the money to pay for the vet bills ( over £450 this year up to now !!!) and i always try and give to a rescue as well - depends on which one -i have mainly given to Chapelhouse and one called St Francis -not the other persian one , but same name one that looks after cats that can''t be re-homed due to various illness and other reasons.
