little dotdot has gone for her op today..finally!! means she will be able to go out without me attached to her!
-
Good luck Dot hope your op goes well, you are a pretty girl
-
im a worrier unfortunately!!! :-[
ive never had a female cat, only boys that have been done ( we had an indoor girl as a foster for a while and thats it!)
she had a rubbish evening, i had my sisters 5 month old puppy to stay, and unfortunatley they really didnt get on! both were as bad as each other, he learnt the hard way that cats dont appreciate strange dogs giving them kisses! i got my hand bitten for my trouble so off tomorrow for a tetanus!
oh the fun! :innocent:
-
Good luck hunnie x
-
Hope all goes well today
-
Dot's a lovely cat, hope everything goes alright today for her.
My two female cats are booked in at the vets to be spayed on Thursday, can't say I'm looking forward to it!

Hope it all goes well.

forgot to put she is also having her microchip done, and while im at it i asked for a blod test to make sure no underlying reasons for her being poorly on and off all the time!
-
Hopefully shes home and milking it for all she can? :evillaugh:
Dont worry about tetanus and cats, if it swells up then you need antibiotics. I just wash my wounds in hibiscrub and keep clean.
-
yep she is :naughty:, ive kitted out the dog cage for her with her fleecy bed, couple of toys and her litter tray, she seems interested in the stitches when she is out and moving about, but happier in the cage out of the way she settles down and sleeps, so she will spend the night in there, and see how we get on, im surprised how much was shaved for only what looks like 3 stitches!
shes tries jumping onto the worktop earlier, and missed so im keeping her space limited for tonight til the g/a wears off!
shes eaten 2 small meals since she has been home, but hasnt been to the toilet as yet!
im sure im in for a restless night tho! :innocent:
-
Glad Dot is home safe and sound, we're going to need some pictures of the gorgeous girl, erm just for verification purposes you understand :shify: :evillaugh: not because I'm obsessed with her :Luv:
-
Glad Dot is back home and the op went ok
-
How's Dot doing this morning :Luv:
-
morning, well she scoffed her brekkie like she's not eaten for a week! she was in the bathroom this morning ( she's one of those types!) and even had a purr when asking my other half for a rub, so she is a lot perkier today, ive left the cage set up for her to retreat if she feels like it, the stiched area didnt look as raw this morning either, 10 days is going to drag!
-
Glad she has eaten and is purring. It will soon pass!!!
-
Glad Dot's spay went well.....its amazing how quickly they usually pick up....much better than us humans! ;)
Dot and Lily are beautiful! :Luv2: :Luv2:

she's still sulking a bit, but she had run of the house again as of yesterday as she was leaving the stitches alone, she came and snuggled on teh bed all night in the end, like i thought she might, aftershe chased kipper for 5 mins of course!
they ran her blood through and have found nothing, but have asked for a poo sample for the next time she is poorly  lucky me!
im thinking of trying her on arden grange dry food? anyone tried it?
-
Thats exactly how my 2 hopeful adoptees looked yesterday, they had their spay on tuesday, must have recovered well as they seemed very energetic yesterday and didn't seem to be paying any attention to their stitches which is great!
Hope Dot is recovering well too!
-
Glad that Dot is recovering well, I can never understand vets that still stich after spaying, Mellika was "glued" so there was no worry about stitches.
Arden Grange did not agree with my Bengal babies who have got very sensitive tummies, Nutro was okay and now they are on Orijen which is a completely grain free food and they are doing really well on it. We spent lots of £££ on poo samples etc and the vets never found anything wrong.
-
Glad Dot is doing well and up and about
-
Aww, Dot looks a bit sorry for herself and rightly so!
Freya and Morgan were spayed today and since they got back from the vets about two hours ago, they've been back to their normal selves ie. running around causing havoc! :innocent: :tired: :evillaugh:
I was concerned at first that they might burst their stitches but they seem to be holding out pretty well! I thought they'd want to sleep and rest after the op but they're full of beans! :-: :shify:
Think it might be a long night to come!
