Just a quickie...
I've just taken out Axa insurance to start tomorrow, after hearing about the silly new clauses in M&S insurance. There's usually a 14 day period where you cannot claim, so do I cancel my M&S insurance from 14 days time to cover me?
Does that make sense?!

I'm pretty sure there's a clause that your cat cannot be covered by any other insurance policy at the same time? That might break the terms of both. Have a look at the fine print.
-
I would say is Axa aren't covering you for the 1st 14 days, then you only have one set of cover at the time. I would phone Axa and verify to be safe.
-
Thanks! I thought that that would be the case. I'll just have to make sure she doesn't get into any scrapes in the next two weeks!
-
I remember reading in the blurb that if you have insurance with another company they would only cover their share. Implying you could have more than one policy :shify:
As you can cancel in the 14days i would get my m&s cover to stop once the new covers exclusion period is over :sneaky:

That's exactly my interpretation of the T&C's MM, I'm going to start the boys' policy with Axa 2 weeks before the M&S policy is due to run out so they'll be covered no matter what.
-
I arranged for my M&S policy to end 14 days after the AXA started, because althought you have a policy with AXA they are not actually covering you for that period so do not have effective cover.
All AXA are trying to do is make sure that you are not taking out insurance for a seriously ill cat that needs immediate medical treatment that is very expensive.

Oh poo! I did cancel my M&S insurance as I wasn't sure and didn't want to get into any trouble!
Oh well, Katie doesn't go out too much so fingers crossed. I'll just wait two weeks until I can do her boosters and have a check up x

Maybe we are just more inclined to have fraudulent thoughts
They still cover for accident tho ;D
