Misa is not well and looks like we off to vets tomorrow, only a month since Ducha was there.
He has slept all day and not moved much, doesnt feel like a temperature but has gone back on floor now so maybe he feeling a bit warm.
He has just had some cat biscuits but cant tell if his back legs are justt stiff from being in one small place or whether he has been hurt, but cant see anything wrong with him........a bit like Ducha really.
Wish I had realized at lunchtime when I couldnt find him but he came out from where he had been hiding and thought he was tired after a night out on the tiles.
Oh well lets see what vets says :(
-
Do hope Misa will soon be feeling better

-
Hi all , Misa says thanks very much for the good wishes and says to tell you, I am going out for a breather now cos feeling far more pinky and perky ;D
I got up at crack of dawn ready to ring vets as soon as they opened and Misa was still on kitchen window sill where he moved last night. He was acting like he was hungry so gave him a dish on working top..............not in the normal rules. Hehad some biscuits late last night and gobbled them up so had been waiting for a pile of biscuits on the floor nor long after.......but it never happened.
He didnt seem to want to get offf working top but he had start grooming and was watching birds so seemed like he was more alert than yesterday.
Decided to hang on from ringing vet and went down to greenhouse and Franya came down too. Misa came outside and wasnt limping or anything just not his usual speedy self. He went to his fav drinking places and then I heard a noisr at greenhoouse door............if you seen that recent tube cartoon about the cat wanting to come in that was misa ;D.............He had got on back legs and was clawing the door so let him iin and Franta left! MIsa then jumped up and was a lapcat and we stayed in the sun for quite a while.
Misa by now watching flies and chatting to them and also chatting to me.........I came back to house and Misa didnt want to and when I looked out he was climbing on to top of big wall grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...................told him to get down and he came in.
He has been dozing this afternoon but he usually does that and has now gone out................he disappeared so quitely I hadnt noticed so reckon he is patroling his territory.
Sasa was so nice to hime this morning and jumping up and headbutting and rubbing him and he gave her a kiss and then pushed her away
So although I am on alert for tomorrow in case he goes back down hill, I am hoping that it was just something that his body has fought off......................or given to me cos I not feeling so good now grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Thank you for your messages cos was feeling very down last night and didnt sleep too well cos was so worried about him.
-
 hope this was one of those inexplicable episodes (we all have 'em :tired:) and that The Misa is rapidly returning to his normal self
-
I do to Christine ;D ................it came on so quick and he was so sad yesterday and has taken a while to get going today but I could tell that he was brighter cos he was watching things and grooming and now bloomin out hunting!
Oh yes and has passed on his germs to me.........sneeze sneeze!
-
Oh Gill, just saw this . I hope Misa is feeling better now.
I wonder if the little kiss to Sasa helped ;D x
 :hug:To you and Misa.
-
Thanks Pav
He has just come in and seems to be back to normal. He has reembered now that his treats live under the desk,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and I have just run out! My life will be hell ;D
Sneeze sneeze........I know he didnt sneeze but has definately passed his germs on
-
Glad that he seems better.
-
Thanks Des, they are such a worry and I was so worried last night cos hated to see him curled in a ball not being himself.
-
It sounds as if Sasa has been very worried about Misa  So glad he is better today  You must have been so worried Gill
-
Yep - I spent £33 on Molly on Mon to find out she has been fine since and it must have been the food - although I only didn't think of that as she hadn't had anything new for her brekkie, and she was also sick before it.
-
Yes they worry us so much Des but its cos we love them
Yes Alison I think that Sasa was very worried about Misa yesterday cos she kept coming in and looking at him lying in file tray.............I thought she wanted to play but she didnt.
She was so happy to see him out in the garden at lunch time she was possitively bouncy ;D
-
Glad to hear he's ok Gill. Big  to Mr Misaman.
-
Thanks Ruth..................he would say Purrrrrrr himself but hes gone out again...............definately feeling better
-
Thanks Ruth..................he would say Purrrrrrr himself but hes gone out again...............definately feeling better
Thats good to hear! ;D
-
Glad to hear he's feeling better today! ;D
-
Thank you ;D
He is sulking in his filing tray at moment cos Franta was a lapcat for a while............he is soooo jealous!
When they get offended , I so hate it when they turn their backs on me and moan if I touch them grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I think he knows I still worried about him :shify:
-
Glad he's feeling perkier :) Do you think you have caught hypochondriac-itis from me? It's highly contagious you know :evillaugh:
-
I wish Helen
I am definately not 100%, or one degree under but part is probably tiredness from not sleeping much last night and getting up so much earlier than normal.
Am sneezing well and nose a drip........sigh.
Misa is now looking at me like..........whats the matter with you then, I feel fine
-
Glad Misa is well again.
-
Well my bloomin cat has been sleeping in the file tray all day so far. He has not eaten , used a tray or anything and if he keeps this up he will be at the vet on Monday....................... >:(
He doesnt seem ill and looks relaxed but he is a food glutton and this is not like him at all.
-
Maybe just an off day. I hope so and hope he perks up later on
-
If he is having another off day only 24 hrs after the last one, then I reckon he is not well cos he shouldnt be going up and down like this I think.
-
Gill, hope he picks up
-
Thanks Alison, I am still hoping he is Ok but this is just not like Misa at all..........wish I had not moved stuff round in the study cos he hasnt used his downstairs sleeping file tray since then . I think its a bit drafty there now :(
-
Sending positive and healing vibes your way x
-
Hope Misas better soon Gill
-
Gill, i hope Misa feels better soon and start eating .
How are you feeling yourself?
-
Hope this is just a small episode he gets over quickly. to you and your gang of 4.
-
Thanks all I reckon that if he is still not 100% on Monday we will have to go to vets.
I just dont understand what is going on with him unless he is just not quite feeling himself or very upset still about the move around in the study.
he has been in his tray all day until about 9 tonight and hasnt eaten or anything. now he has eaten and is in an out the flap and am wondering if his tummy and tail end are playing him up, all though no signs that I can see.
I dont know if what is going in is coming out and have never had any probs with him before but right now he is just not like my Misa most of time.
Thanks Pav, I am tired but the germs.........touchin g wood.......have vanished as quick as they came!
Dont understand anything that is going on at moment .........sigh
-
Here's hoping he picks up soon.......
-
How is Misa today Gill?
-
Could you contain him in one room for 24hrs to see whats going on?
When taffy got lymphoma his runny tummy was the first sign so i wouldnt have known anything was up until his weight dropped off like a ton of bricks.
Not saying its anything as serious but it would help the vet decide where to start investigating.
-
Poor baby! hope you see an improvement real soon, lots of love and hugs to you both :Luv:
-
Hi Gill,
I hope Misa is feeling better today. Is he eating and drinking ?
-
Hi all.................well you guessed, Misa has been feeling good today and been just like normal.
I have a sneakie feeling that he has not been sleeping well cos of the move round I had in the study and his lower filing tray where he likes to sleep ..........sigh.........has been too cold and draughty and he has not been comfy in the upper tray.
Yes he could sleep in a cat bed if he wanted but thats too bloomin easy!
he has now at last decided to sleep on the sofa so he can stretch out in comfort and sleep properly, like he is now.
All good days have coincided with better weather and the bad days have been horrible weather, maybe just a coincidence but as tomorrow has a health warning , we shall see.
Depending on the weather and on Misa I shall be going to try and improve the draft situation and get the study back to how it was.
MM your idea sounds a good one and I would like him to use a litter tray in the house so I can see if he is but we will see how he does tomorrow, cos right now he seems fine ;D
-
Hoping Misa is not mirroring the weather....it says gales from the West, well I am in the North East and its howling outside now! :(
Stay well for your meowmy and yourself Misa! :Luv:
-
Afraid I not happy with Misa :(
he seemed bright enough but his ears are feeling hot and he keeps rushing to litter tray and doing nothing. Have spoken to vets and they think best to have him checked in view of the latter and they said their weather wasnt too bad but guess they are probably getting hit like we are now and the wind is very strong and cold almost from west.
There are road warnings for M4 righr across from LLanelli to otherside of Swansea and Gower is in middle.
The Vet Nurse said that no problems getting onto Gower this morning but wonder what it will be like at 1730.
Its also raining hard.
Misa asleep on sofa at present and definately his bad days are the same as weather bad days!
-
be careful Gill I thought check the forecast - what timing!
-
Yes I had a look at AA watch and loads of warning triangles but no real infor for where I am or where I am going cos we too small.
Timing is lousy but I dont want to take a risk that as the vet nurse said, he may have something underlying. Its been going on too long now I think.
What I dont need is a tree down on the Gower or an accident on M4 or A48.#
Have left appointment till as late as possible cos am hoping the worst of the traffice will be over.
-
I know that here (Bucks) they said the worst would be over by 6pm hope it is the same for you
-
Well hoping Misa will sleep to 1630 cos thats when I will have to leave...............must put vets number on mobile now!
-
 to Misa hun x
-
Good luck today
-
good luck for a safe trip (sounds very necessary unfortunately) and a very positive outcome for Misa too. The weather's much calmer here now, not sure about further west, and hopefully they've had all day to clear the roads. Good luck to you both
-
Good luck Gill
-
Thanks everyone ;D
he looks so peaceful asleep and sad to disturb him but I gotta get him sorted out poor boy.
-
Big cuddles to Misha from Smartie, Winston, Bungly and Sophie   - hope hes soon on the mend.
-
Good Luck - Hope he's sorted
-
Thinking of you and Misa
-
Got back from vets about an hour ago and he has a big temperature and also wet the bedding in the carrier, whi the vet thought was really good! Also he said catys do temperatures well which is very helpful !
So he was not blocked and didnt need to stay in but has been given antibiotic injection and he should be back on a level playing field again in 2-3 days.
he was given a very good examination and Richard got a bit from sticking his fingers in Misa s mouth...............more fool him
So hope my Misaman will be better again by end of week ;D
Thank you for your kind thoughts
-
Hope Misa soon starts to feel better
-
Positive news hun x
-
Glad you got there and back safely. Hope Misa picks up soon after the antibiotic
-
Glad you got there and back ok! Fingers crossed the antibiotics sort Misa out and he's back to normal soon.
-
well that's a huge relief Gill (and for Misa, lol). Bob used to do that to me - have a blocked bladder and let loose in the car en route to the emergency vet at 3 am. 8)
-
Well he is prowling around like he owns the joint again ;D
One strange thing though that maybe someone might know answer.
At the end of the examination the vets said , Oh let me just examine his legs, and lifted Misa up and felt down each leg and paw.
Does anyone know why, I didnt think of asking at the time and I know he would have told me!
-
Sending you and Misa   and hope Misa start feeling better by tomorrow. :)
-
Thanks Pav ;D
The vet thinks he will be up and down for another couple of days
-
Wonder if the vet was looking for any injuries that might cause an infection :-:
-
Gill, you should call the surgery tomorrow and ask them , i always do this when i get home i remember something and i call them.
I think also to check for injuries or to see if Misa had feeling in his legs and paws.
-
Shortly after I got kylie, she was bitten at the weekend. I was really ignorant then and thought I would take her to the vet. She was behaving just like Misa and was hot etc. Hiding under the bed and had enlarged pupils. She was aggressive when I got close to her. I booked an appointment for the vet after work. By the time I took her, the vet said her temperature was down an no point giving her anything. Over the next couple of days she was back to her normal self. I guess he was checking for bites. Hopefully he will be fine in no time.
-
Thanks all ;D
-
Fingers crossed he is feeling better today
-
Hope he's feeling much perkier today :Luv:
-
Yes how is Misa today Gill?
-
misa was up quite early has eaten and his now stretched out asleep on sofa............i think he is improving but keeping a watch om him closely
-
Good news ;D
-
Sending you both lots of hugs xxx
-
eating's good so hope he's on the mend. Hope you can relax a bit
-
Thanks very much ;D
-
Grounds for cautious optimism, I would say - to Misa
-
Thanks Christine and I am being cautious
-
How's Misaman doing today Gilly?
-
Sounds like good news ;D Fingers crossed he continues to improve and stops worrying his meowmy.
-
I do hope Misa is getting better.......
-
His ears were still very hot last night which is worrying but today I have seen him practicing his 100ft sprint in the garden and and he is avoiding me!
I tried to feel his ears and he said nooooooooooo way, stay away from my ears, pervert
So I guess he is feeling better, and I hope his ears are when I catch him ;D
-
Hope Misa's ears cool down Gill. Poor Misa if someone is not fiddling with his trousers its his ears :shify:
-
My goodness you make me sound bad
Ummmm still have some trouser fiddling to do !
-
Hope he's ok. My vet said not to take too much notice of the ears as it's the way they conserve heat.
-
today I have seen him practicing his 100ft sprint in the garden
Sounds promising Gill?!! ;D
-
Ears are a very good temperature indicator and if the ears are hot , you are almost certain to have a cat with a temperature. Both Misa and Ducha were at the vets for this reason and both had high temperatures and needed antibiotics.
Misa s ears are now much cooler tonight which is what I have been waiting for, so reckon he is on the way to recovery now ;D
-
Hope Misa is well on the mend now -  from Smartie, Winston, Bungly and Sophie and me.
-
Thank you I think he is but its so worrying not quite being sure
-
How's Misa?
-
Being pretty neurotic over Misa, I think he is Ok but still reserviung judgement ;D
I would love to have a few good days of weather to see if he becomes his happy self again.
Thanks for asking ;D
-
Well I know its gonna be colder in the North East for a few days Gill.....Sending Misa some lovely weather! :Luv:
