Um...anyone know how to get the smell of cat pee out of a mattress?! :tired:
Haven't pinned down the perpetrator yet :shify: but I think it was a dirty protest about not being let out last night. Went to go to bed and it was like a tsunami had swept across the bed. Duvet, sheets, undersheets, mattress...I swear i wouldn't have believed that much liquid could come out of a cat...
Gotta love 'em haven't you. Haven't you??
So dudes...ideas??? And if not, if you could go away and invent something, get it manufactured and shipped to my house pronto that'd be much appreciated...

You can get "Simple Solution" from Pets at Home - it has enzymes & beneficial bacteria that "eat" the wee. There are othe brands you can get from the vet but this is the cheapest + you get a big bottle

So it's kinda like Yakult for cat pee? :)
Cheers.

You got it :evillaugh:
It's a shame they can't drink it so it comes out odourless at the other end :evillaugh:

That would be good - :)
My Zubin is still peeing on the carpet >:(
-
Willow is still peeing in the corner of the dining room and the carpet is ruined. She is also now peeing on the mega-buck drapes in our bedroom and it runs down onto the carpet. I am getting through a bottle of simple a week >:(
OH just says "Oh look at her little face" :tired: - it's muggins that has to clean up :tired:

My velvet curtains are ruined, they have just been put in the loft - zubin would climb them, they were covered in llittle holes and the day light shone through.
I think Zubi is marking his terrortry, as the garden is cat proofed he can't mark else where, so use the carpet, little tinker. He knows he has done wrong but he still does it.

Try soaking the stinky patches with Whisky, Rum, Brandy or Gin and if that is too painful Surgical spirit.

Simple Solution has quite a strong aftersmell that I really can't stand. I have used 1001 new pet stuff when my gal had cystitis recently, the smell was much better.

Are you serious?? You want me to soak my bed in brandy? I LIKE IT! ;D
At least I'll sleep well...

Do they have a tray, sounds like someone was desperate

Are you serious??
Very ;D

Um...OK. My theory on this is either that you get 'infused' and so don't care about the smell of cat pee...or that you just switch the smell from cat pee to brandy...???

I think the alcohol in the brandy neuteralises the wee? But let me have a think (either the smell of) ummmm......wee or brandy? Id defo go for the brandy.... ;)

I think I would prefer cat pee - brandy makes me  unless it is butter ... and even then only on very special occasions
