If you hadn't been slacking from the stairs then he couldnt have got on your lap in the first place  :rofl:

He was grooming - It's his favourite pastime  :Luv2:

He is the gentlest kitty I have ever known. He has never put his claws out on skin. He will grab a jumper but never skin. If you are doing something he doesn't like, he will lick you to tell you to stop  :Luv:

Poor Clapton - the first time he went upstairs after it was done, he was really confused as he usually stops on the 3rd stair for a scratch  :(
