Found on Freecycle and crossposting on as many rescue sites with permission:
We are moving home next week and have four lovely cats that need new
homes. Our new landlord wont allow pets and we have exhausted every
other method of rehoming them RSPCA, CPL etc.
1 Blossom - 4 yr old female (tortoiseshell), spayed
2 Felix - 10 mth old male (black & white), neutered
3 Marmite - 3 yr old female (very dark brown but she looks black) spayed
4 Tony - 7 yr old male (Tabby) neutered
If you can help, PM me and I'll send you the current owners details.

As I have posted on another forum, no one has phone Chesterfield CP about 4 cats. Had they advice would have been given.

Ela, I'm only posting what was said. I can PM you the owners email address if you feel you can help?

To be honest I have enough on my plate with the people who have bothered to contact me. Our list of cats waiting to come in is huge. All I could do is give them advice for now. It is up to the public to contact me. I cannot be contacting all those people who advertise on all the free sites. That may sound harsh and that I don't care but sadly that is how is is.

I guess I understand that; there must be a lot of cats already waiting to come in.
Something the guy said was that he actually has five cats and his landlord will only allow him one. Maybe he called asking if five could be taken in? (Either that or he's an out and out fibber!)

I tend to agree with Ela.. Anyone who posts on Freecycle isnt really do what is best for the cats.. I bet he hasnt even bothered to ring around....Its alot to expect one rescue to take...
This week i have lost my patience with people, who see it as "our" problem and not theirs.. We are always there to help and give advice but half the time they are not listening..... They go off and do what they want....Makes me take a deep breath and no say something i will regret.. Last night i had a phonecall about a cat that needed rehoming, they knew about this for weeks but now have only just got round to asking rescues as they thought we wouldnt be busy yet!!!
When i asked if he could make arrangements until we had room he said he could put it in a cattery for a few months...!!! They were moving weekend...! I suggested having a relative look after it and he said no everyone was too busy!!
It really isnt me is it?

These cats have now been rehomed.

Must say I agree with Ela.
People seem to think we have unlimited pen space and resources to cope with everything thats thrown at us; I know that Ela always goes that extra mile to try an help all the needy cats,I also know the number of fibs people tell me when they are trying to off load a cat. I must say I have always been against these free ads etc and dont read them because they put even more pressure onto overworked rescues.
Ela sending you a big   because you sound like you need it

I do appreciate all you rescues are full to bursting, which is why I posted in this section. There may have been someone reading who wasn't a rescue that could've helped. :)
You all do an amazing job. :)
