Can't put it any other way, but goodness have I got a show brag and I'm so absolutely bursting to share it with you all............... :happy dance:
Pearl and I did the second day of the NaturallyTICA cat Club show in Milton Keynes - a total of six rings. As it was our first venture into TICA I went with an open mind and a hope for a respectable showing. What we ended the day with, was so totally beyond my wildest expectations that I was fully expecting someone to pinch me, wake me up and say it was all a dream. :loon:
In each of the six rings, Pearl achieved best of colour and also best of division (solid SH).
She finalled in every single ring - finals were top 5 cats as 9 HHP present, one final speciality, five allbreed.
In her first ring, she was 2nd best HHP.
In her second ring, she was 2nd best HHP
In her third ring, she was Best HHP
In her fourth ring, she was Best HHP
In her fifth ring, she was 2nd best HHP
And in her sixth ring, she was Best HHP.
In terms of the overall results, she was the best household pet on the day by some considerable margin with the three 2nds and 3 1sts. Pearl amassed enough points to claim the Double Grand Master title (one of the fastest ever to do so on the UK) and she is only 80 points off the Triple Grand Master title.
The judges all absolutely adored her, they all commented on her sweet temperament (she was being a thoroughly nosey moo), the quality of her coat and the high standard of her presentation. One even said how nice she smelled - after munching her tummy... :ha ha :
I'm totally gobsmacked. Think I'll be walking on air for quite some time... I'm sooooooo proud of my special little girl. :Flowers: She's my little star. :wish:

Pearl is an absolute babe, and she so deserves all these rosettes ...... its impossible not to fall in love with her, she's gorgeous ;D

Thanks folks, I'm still walking on air today! Have the rosettes hanging up on my board where I can see them and it still hasn't quite sunk in. :shocked: I was in tears yesterday as it was Pearl's first ever Best Cat / BIS.
She was such a little star yesterday, I just can't believe how well she showed. She let the judges cuddle her and was noseing around the judges selection of cat toys. In her last ring, we were near a balcony and she was looking up at what was going on - her expression was "Oooh, people! How interesting! What are they doing up there? Ooooh, must look!" She is such a nosey little moo :evillaugh:
In that last ring, she jumped up on the judge's shoulder so she could growl at one of the other cats that she decided she didn't like the look of... :rofl: It was quite amusing! :evillaugh:
What was lovely was that the ladies from Milton Keynes CP were rooting for her too! ;D They fell in love with her as I walked past their stall with her to our first ring of the day and were thrilled to learn that she was a CP cat. ;D They were so lovely and gave her fusses throughout the day - and I spent a fair bit of money on their stall as they had some lovely wooden cat ornaments.
I thoroughly enjoyed TICA and would definitely do it again - the judging format is a bit like the Supreme, but significantly more informal. I'd only ever do one day though as both Pearl and I the format quite tiring. Was knackered when I got home and so was Pearl - she used her tray, had her minced beef supper and hauled herself to bed, bless her.
Am just so glad that the yellow paint didn't stain... :evillaugh:
