As if this week hasn't been traumatic enough. I went to tuck up the bunnies before bed only to find flurry on his side covered in urine......he had a stroke. He was fine when we saw him at 7pm to give them their veg . I cleaned him up and spent the night cuddling him until my vet opened this morning, I dont trust the out of hours vet and he was pain free he managed to eat a whole pack of fine beans and a huge Florette of broccoli through the night and his usual half slice burnt toast at 4am.
He was nine years old and one of the last of my rescues- Dandy is partner keeps looking for him and is having lots more cuddles than usual . The vet said they could have tried several things but at his age he wouldn't have survived and I certainly wouldn't have let them try- he died with dignity eating a runner bean until the very last second
Its going to be very hard opening their door in the morning and only Dandy running out to play. They had a fabulous gay relationship and spent most days humping each other in the sun, rain and snow. Nothing stopped them
RIP little boy I hope Mummy home help (thats what we called his Mummy as she kept their cage spotless) finds you soon and shows you around and you get to meet your brother and sisters soon.......I loved
you with all my heart
Love
Mummy
