Found this advert today-
"I have a black and white female cat to rehome through no fault of hers at all. I'm just breeding pedigrees now so do need to rehome her ASAP.
http://static.preloved.co.uk/uploads/userphotos/192668.jpg"
Sorry, would post the picture, but our PC isn't saving any pictures.
Can anyone help? It looks suspicously like she was used as a kitten machine until the person who had her realised they could get more money for pedigrees. :scared:
-
strange. when I started breeding pedigrees, I kept my moggies ... hardly a supportable excuse really, and as you say, that is one heck of a large litter for a lovely wee kitty to have to raise ... >:(
-
I know. Not sure how old she is but I wouldn't think she's that old really. Poor little thing - bet she's still unspayed too.
-
Disgusting :(
Poor little girl - she looks a stunner. This little lady deserves the best home ever.
If i started breeding (which I wont) I wouldn't rehome Thai no a chance in hell.
-
If someone can get her and meet me part way, I'll take her. Have you got the contact details JS?
-
I can't access them - the advert needs to be a week old unless you're a member. I remembered someone joining a little while ago to contact another person regarding a cat ad, so I'll look through old threads until I find out who and ask them to contact the seller. (I can't really call them anything else, in view of their treatment if this young lady.)
-
Thanks hun, let me know if you hear anything.
-
Message sent to the person who has membership so should be able to contact the seller. :) Hopefully we'll be able to sort something out.
-
Even if someone in the Manchester area could pick her up, I can always collect from there but it would have to be evening.
-
You are an angel :Luv2: :cuddle:
-
I would just hate her to end up in the wrong hands and Sheffield isn't too far.
-
hope you can get her dd, but you must be running out of room!! ;)
-
I'll still have less than what I had a few weeks ago so it's not too bad. I've also still got a couple of homechecks to do as well and I've also got a home lined up for Abigail once she's been spayed. If I hadn't done well on the rehoming lately, I wouldn't have been able to take her as I've got a possible feral due in later as well :tired: A guy trapped him last night and he's in the vets today being neutered, I'm hoping he's going to be a "nice" tom but won't know til I get him :scared:
-
DD
You are one in 5 million
(If needed I'll make a small donation toward her - my kitties will give up some of thier pocket money)
-
Oh she looks lovely, poor little girl. What is the matter with people ? Today i went to 2 pet shops to see if i find Nature Menu and they both had signs for kitten wanted >:( >:(. In second shop i asked the girl if they selling kittens and she said in March we will have loads but you need to put your name in waiting list cos as soon as they come people buy them! Waiting list >:( I told her i didnt want a kitten just wanted to know why there is a sign for kitten wanted cos that encourage every one to breed :(, she couldnt care.!!!
Dawn, Boy and Phoebe are happy to donate some of thier money as well to wards this little one, hope you can help her.
-
Phone number acquired and message being sent. :) Thanks DD. I just saw the photo and really felt for her.
-
Thanks hun
-
A little birdy has told me that puss is still up for grabs. No payment being asked for. There is another person interested but too far away and having trouble arranging transport - not sure if this is another breeder or not. :tired:
-
So who can meet Dawn halfway? I'll happily call if we can organise someone to collect the young lady. (I don't drive and live a train ride away from Sheffield.)
-
JS, if you give them a ring and I'll sort something out.
Julie, have you been in contact with the woman who's got the cat? It would be a shame if someone got her to breed from her :'(
-
Yes, Dawn. Only by email, though. ;)
She didn't mention it was another breeder interested in this puss, but I can't see another motivation for someone travelling a long way to get her. It's not like there's a shortage of B&W cats, is it? :(
-
JS, if you give them a ring and I'll sort something out.
Just called and got the message "this number does not receive incoming calls." :scared:
-
sounds like they forgot to pay the phone bill!!! and have done so on more than one occasion ...
-
sounds like they forgot to pay the phone bill!!! and have done so on more than one occasion ...
I dont think is about not paying bills, some of the public phones give this message out!
YOu should ask the operator to check the number they can tell you if its a phone box or something wrong with the line.
-
If the line is shut off because of non payment then you won't get a message at all. What does happen is that providers will stop calls being made but not received. This sounds like a pay phone.
-
Well, JS and I have both written to this lady to express and interest so hopefully we can get an alternative number. :sneaky:
We have a track record of problems with phone bills from time to time. All part of lifes great tapestry! But they tend to block outgoing calls for a couple of weeks, then if you fail to pay the block goes on incoming as well. It could be a payphone but it could also be an old number and they haven't updated their membership details. :tired:
-
how interesting - another thing learned. In Oz they cut off your service and leave a message saying that the number is unobtainable. But following a few nasty incidents, they now leave you access to emergency services so that you can get help if needed, but can't keep running up bills ...
-
BT aren't as mean as they could be. If you still have an account but can't pay BT will still permit 999 calls to go out, but that's it. Until they shut it down completely. Julie, if its an old number the providers rotate them so often that if its no longer in use it gets added to the list of new numbers for new customers, so its either dead, or the "that number has not been recognised" message will run. I strongly suspect its got a block like a payphone. Some boarding houses, hostels etc have payphones, so it could be in a location like that.
I hope this lady contacts you either way. Poor little baby.
-
Yes Ruth, pay phone thats what it is , couldnt think thats why i put phone box. :thanks:
But in ads they always require a land line number and some time people put pay phones or other numbers cos the free ad on some papers allow you only limited number of ads and they check the land number for that, if that is the case then there should be a mobile number as well.
-
I could help out on transport if needed - but I could only do it at weekend, or at night after work. Unfortunately couldn't keep her overnight, so would have to pass her on in the same journey. I'm probably about an 90mins from Sheffield (I'm in Lancs) so if I have to go to Sheffield would prefer not to go to collect her unless it would be at weekend. I can be a go between for any other legs of the journey though on any night.

-
JS, got your email thanks. I can help too but again it would be a weekend job.I'm J28 M1. Let me know from where to where and we could set up a little relay team!
-
I received an email with a vague location so if anyone is familiar with Sheffield they would probably know whereabouts this little lady is. :)
I can look after her for a week or so if it makes organising transport easier.
-
I don't know sheffield at all except where Meadowhall is! It's about 30 miles away from me. Where does the little one need to end up?
-
Dawn's said she can take her if someone could meet her halfway. (So Wales, I think.)
-
I *think* that I had a Preloved account as I joined to do some research on free ads. I'll have a look and see...
If I do, what would you like me to do DD?
-
:censored: I only have basic membership and i'm afraid don't have any cash to upgrade - hopefully you can find the member who has the right account xx
-
:censored: I only have basic membership and i'm afraid don't have any cash to upgrade - hopefully you can find the member who has the right account xx
Yes, that was me. Contact has already been made so we just have to arrange transport. ;)
-
If it's easier, I'm in Chesterfield and the OH has agreed to said young lady lodging for a week or so. (I posted this before, but not sure if it's been overlooked.)
-
JS, can you get her from Sheffield to your place?
If someone can then get her from Chesterfield to the Manchester ring road motorway (M60 or thereabouts) - I can do the run from there to say Chester or anywhere near there if that is easy for Dawn to get to? If not then I could come over to Chesterfield but it would have to be next weekend now.
Hope that helps.
Karen

-
I don't drive. That's kind of part of the problem organising things. (Otherwise she'd more than likely be here by now!)
-
Can you not learn quickly?!? Which bit of Sheffield is she in? Do you think the current owner be prepared to drop her with you or possibly travel north to Huddersfield to help us out?
Unless anyone else can help with getting her to Chesterfield? I've double checked on multimap and it is quite a way for me to get to Sheffield/Chesterfield (and a heck of a journey that she is going to be going on here!!!).
Karen
x
-
I've been concerned about the journey - but she doesn't look very old so the disruption will bother her for a lot less time than an old timer! ;)
Believe me, you wouldn't want me on the roads! :P
-
If someone can get the cat part way either Manchester or Chester, someone has kindly offered to cover the fuel costs if that's any help. JS, have we got an address or email address for this lady and does she know I will take her? If needed, I may see if I can get over there within the next couple of days, only problem being I am up to my eyes in it
-
If there aren't any other options, the earliest I can do any run over there will be next weekend but I can help out on a shorter run at night so Dawn doesn't have to do it all. I've no leave left at work so doing a run on a weekday isn't an option.
Karen

-
DD, all I have is an email addy and a postcode. I asked for a full address but didn't get it - and I haven't told her about rescue involvement. I was kind of reluctant to because some people are really stubborn regarding that issue!
I've made a transport request on another forum. If we can get the little one to mine, she's welcome to stay until the weekend when people are free. :)
-
I could do the run from Chesterfield part way to Manchester (Bakewell/Buxton/Stoke/Uttoxeter etc...) if someone could pick up?
It does seem that we're taking this one an awfully long way round though. Wouldn't it be best to rehome her locally? I can ask if there's room at Scarcliffe, they may take her on and then it's only a short trip to Chesterfield and not all the way to Wales.
I don't mind helping and I won't ask money for petrol, I'd rather it went to helping the cats but it does seem like a rather complicated solution.
-
Has anyone contacted Wizz to see if she can help? Wizz rescues in Sheffield.
-
I emailed Wizz fairly recently and she's chocca at the moment. CS, definately ask - it saves a lot of travel for her. :)
-
So, if someone can get her from Sheffield to Chesterfield, Smokey can do the run from Chesterfield to either Buxton or Stoke. If there is no other transport available, I can pick up from there to somewhere on the M56 corridor for Dawn to collect for the remaining journey. Stoke would be easier for me being straight down the M6 but looking at Multimap it looks a longer journey for her.
*If* she can't be rehomed locally, and looking at the journey involved that would obviously be preferable. Is Ela Chesterfield CP? Maybe she has contacts who could help out with transporting the first leg if nothing can be found locally for puss.
Let me know.

I'll see if I can get someone to do a direct run from Sheffield, I think that would probably be easier than taking her here, there and everywhere :shy: I'll try and sort something out to get over there. From where I am, I'll be looking at about 90 miles away so possibly a couple of hours journey. I think if she goes to Chesterfield and no one locally can take her, the journey is going to be even longer again getting her to where I am :shy:
-
If you are struggling to find someone Dawn, I could do all the journey, but would prefer not too (and it would have to wait until next weekend). Hope she's a better traveller than one of mine - it's a bad enough journey just getting him to the vets - what with his howling to be released and inappropriate toiletting habits! ;D
Karen
-
I could do it! I'm in Manchester and as I'm not working at the moment, I could do it any day. I don't know Sheffield (except for Meadowhall!) but I can read a map! I could drive there and bring her back to Manchester area. I would have to take her straight to Dawn's (if that's where she's going) as I have no room here for another cat, even overnight.
-
Bless you Susanne. :) I'm glad someone can take her directly - I have a terrible feeling I'd get too attached to her if she pit-stopped here for a week. :)
Have contacted lady asking for phone number and address. As soon as I have it I'll PM both you and Dawn.
-
You're a star Suzanne - it would obviously be much less stress for her to not be passed around. I'll gladly contribute to the petrol fund for her. I can still be back up for next weekend if for whatever reason it can't be done.

Ditto! If you have a PayPal account I'll bung you a pound or two for fuel. I'm so sorry my help was only limited but I have a lot of time-constraints at weekends.
I hope it'll all work out
-

That's great Susanne, I'm only an hour from Manchester so that's not a problem. As soon as I get hold of the lady, I'll let you know   Thanks to everyone who's offered to help, hopefully we'll get her before she ends up in the wrong hands
-
I'll chip in with some pennies to get this little one to safety -
DD just pop me you pay pal account by email or pm.
-
Thanks hun  I've not heard anything from the lady as yet but my paypal address is: catrescueflintshire@wfnuk.adsl24.co.uk I've got her mobile number so I'm going to ring her shortly.
-
I've just spoken to her and if I can get her this evening, I can have her. She said someone is interested but they've been messing her about and keep changing the days of when they can go over. She's also got a persian she may be selling as her Bengal keeps picking on her >:( >:( Wish she hadn't have give me that bit of info :( She's going to email her address etc so as soon as I hear, we can get things moving :)
Modified I've now got her address :)
-
If you think the persian needs "rescuing" as well, I will help with the "payment" for her - will also send some funds for transport etc, well done for saving another one hun
-
Thanks Lesley, hubby will have a dicky fit :scared: but I've just emailed her about the Persian asking how much she wants for her. If I can get her, I will do.
-
Dawn, you are utterly GREAT!!! :) I definately think you should change the little girl on preloveds name though - her current one really doesn't suit her!
-

Okay, let me know the damage - hubbys can then have dicky fits together
-
Dawn, you are utterly GREAT!!! :) I definately think you should change the little girl on preloveds name though - her current one really doesn't suit her!
I didn't notice her name, what is it :shify:
-
Great news Dawn. You're the tops
-
She wants £200 for the Persian, said she isn't for breeding and is worth £450, not sure if she's been done or not but it's unlikely :sneaky: She said she should be parting with the Bengal really but she's worth more >:(
-
Bl :censored: dy hell, the woman sounds a nightmare. Thank you all so much for helping the little moggy. :) Worth more.....who can decide that? Grrrr.
-
omg she doesn't want it but still wants to charge £200 - some people really do know the cost of everything and the value of nothing - Dawn I will chip in but it will need to be a cheque I have your details
-
Crikey  that's worse than someone else we know. Let me know what you decide to do, I'll start counting my pennies.
-
I've emailed to see if she'll take any less :shy:
-
Crikey  that's worse than someone else we know.
Funnily enough, she's changed her mind on the price on hers ;) :evillaugh:
-
Just sent a few £'s your way Dawn to help with this.
-
Have checked bank balance and can give a bit more ;D
-

Sabrina, thank you so much
Have checked bank balance and can give a bit more ;D
I have to say you are all fantastic, hubby thinks we are all a little mad :evillaugh:
I wonder why that would be, probably frightened you won't help any more. :shify:
Possibly, but I also think a conversation with Sean had something to do with it :innocent:
-
Funnily enough, she's changed her mind on the price on hers ;) :evillaugh:
How much is she "worth" now? ;)
-

Sabrina, thank you so much
No problem, just don't tell my husband ;)
-
Susanne has said it's okay for her to go over this evening to pick the little black/white kitty up :) Still trying to find out more about the Persian, she's advertised her apparently so wants to know asap.
-
The least she'll take is £170, she is spayed, microchipped etc but she'll only take cash in case the cheque bounces.
-
what a witch
-
The advert says she's grey (just goes to show she doesn't know what she's doing!) and is neutered and microchipped.
Ask about papers Dawn - if she's charging £200 then should get papers. Remember the £450 is for a kitten not an ex breeding queen.
-
Advert says with papers :-[ Oops

Be very careful when handing over any money Dawn or Suzanne, the name on the advert is "Smith". Make sure you have hold of cat(s) before handing anything over, there have been lots of scams etc recently.
-
Only just caught up with this as been offline at home for the weekend. Just wanted to say to Susanne to be careful if she is going alone into a strange persons house with lots of cash. I know I probably worry unnecessarily, but if you can take a friend it might be worthwhile - you never know what an area is like when it is not local to you. I would offer to help but I have to go out to dinner with clients tonight so I won't be around. If it ends up being another night then let me know. I often think that going in pairs is a good idea - especially when you see some of the places Teresa has taken me to!!!
Good luck with the rescue.
-
I think I better go with her to be honest, I know some areas of Sheffield are on the rough side and I need to try and sort cash out as well, got money in paypal but it won't clear for a few days :shy:
-
Any new s DD? - I wish I could help out with the transport and fetching & carrying - but I work so many hours a day - I am shattered.
I have sent a little something to help out - xx.
-
Just waiting to get hold of Susanne, got a couple of things to do and then I'll be setting off. Trying to sort cash out for the persian as well, she said I can leave a cheque and wait for it to clear but not really keen on that idea plus it means another trip :tired:
-
Good Luck DD
Safe journey xxxxxxxx
-
Safe journey. Hope very much that all goes well xxxxx
-
good luck to you both
-
Yes be safe and good luck for getting both cats out :luck:
-
Thanks guys
-
Good luck. Sorry I couldn't be more help. :(
-
And me! I'll send a little something on Wednesday when I get paid!
-
Well both of them are on their way to Wales now ;D The little black and white girl is tiny but very sweet natured and the Persian is gorgeous.
Interesting journey :shify: I'm glad I wasn't on my own.
-
Hi Susanne
Good to know you're back and mission accomplished. So pleased. Would love to have been a fly on the wall :sneaky:
hoping that Dawn and pusscats have a safe journey back.
-
I've just arrived home and I'm whacked, Sheffield is one place I do not want to go to again in a hurry :sneaky: Both cats are gorgeous and I'm sure they'll settle in no time :Luv: :Luv: Susanne, it was great meeting you and thanks for driving over to pick these little one's up
-
What a great result- there really are some fantastic people on here !
I do what i can to help -i don''t work due to health issues ,but i do try and help where i can - i did buy some fleece and posted it to Chapelhouse (i think there were 6 metres and some cat toys )
I also sell odd bits on ebay occasionally to help cats (or pay for vets if i get a big bill !!).
I also have had a stall at local cat shows and raised funds there -selling things.
I bought a lot of cat diamonte designs to sell and will be selling the last of them later on.
I have mainly given to Chapelhouse and look to see who else i can help.
I also occasinally buy a "feed a cat " off ebay too for various charities.
-
Here's a couple of pics of the gorgeous girls :Luv: :Luv: The one under the blanket is Amelia as she's now called, she was petrified bless her but seems a little more settled now, Sasha is the Persian, she's a little growly but will settle down. The breeder said that Amelia didn't handle the pregnancy and birth too well, she lost a lot of weight and was generally run down. She did say it was best that she was spayed so I do think on the whole, she does care about the cats and maybe doesn't realise the extent of the problem as regards homeless cats and kittens. I've noticed on Amelia one of her third eyelids is slightly showing so she's possibly still a bit out of sorts and she definitely needs building up, she is so tiny. Sasha has sneezed a couple of times since bringing her home but she had a bath before we picked her up, so maybe she's got a little chill. When we picked them up, Sasha was petrified of the "Bengal", so even though I don't like the idea of "buying" a cat to line someone's pockets, I think this was money well spent for the sake of Sasha's emotional welfare, so thanks to everyone who enabled this to happen

Well done Dawn and Suzanne, another two safe - and two gorgeous little girls by the look of them. :Luv2:
-
Well done girls - 2 more saved. Its a shame you had to pay her to help her out
-
Amelia is lovely!
So glad the trip went well if a bit interesting.
-
Yayy! Great news....the b&w is gorgeous! :Luv: :Luv:
-
Well done girls - all four of you :)
Ameila is simply :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: - hell I would love her she has such a pretty little face - thank heaven you saved them both.
Hope all the donations - cover everything and leave a little for another kitty.
DD your place in heaven is well and truly marked  you are one superstar. xxxx
-
Two very pretty girls - well done to everyone involved!
-
Bless them - I hope they settle in quickly.
-
Amelia, is lovely :Luv: :Luv:, bless her.Phoebe and Boy are sending their whole week pocket money for her . :wow:
Thanks Dawn and Susanne.
-
This " saga " makes me realise what truly caring people there are in the cat world.
Amelia is sooo pretty :Luv: :Luv:
Hope they both settle well and soon get back to full health with your tlc

xxxxxxx
Edited to say that I mean on Purrs, not the misguided owner!!!!!
-
Both girls are utterly gorgeous and more so in the flesh :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: I'm just hoping Amelia isn't pregnant again as it's been 3 months since her last litter. It was apparent the girls did go out as the "Bengal" has been on her jaunts for a while and has only recently gone home a few weeks pregnant by the looks of it >:( Sasha's colouring is classed as Black Pewter, the pic really doesn't do her justice but once they've settled, I'll try and get some better ones :Luv:
Amelia, is lovely :Luv: :Luv:, bless her.Phoebe and Boy are sending their whole week pocket money for her . :wow:
Amelia sends loving headbutts and purrs to the gorgeous Boy and Phoebe :ahh:
I've not recovered from the journey yet, my head is banging and I've now got to get Cleo in to see Sean :tired: I'm not sure if Smudge has whacked her in the eye but when I came in last night, it was really swollen :( I bathed it and put some cream in it but it still looks bad. We've just had the Subsidence Engineer out again about the wall so as soon as he disappears, I'll get her in.
-
If this woman has a Bengal and lets her roam to get pregnant by any Tom Dick or Harry - does she really care??? :-:
Poor girl. I hope someone thinks she a stray and takes her in.
-
is she not breeding pedigrees then? I can't understand how her mind works???
-
I think the way she is, is more down to her naivety rather than not caring. She did come across as being nice and gave me some care sheets for Sasha and said if there's any problems to get in touch. She is also fairly young which we've all been at some stage, and until you come on a forum like this or get involved in rescue, I don't think you realise some of the things people do are just wrong. I think with some people, it's down to educating rather than having a go. I had to bite my tongue a few times, she rehomes kittens from 6 weeks and I told her I was going to get a kitten but my vet had said they should be minimum 8 weeks, her response was it depends on how the mum is with them and if they are eating but she's not had any problems rehoming at that age :brick: :brick: I think I will phone her in a few days and explain I do rescue, and try and point out the error of her ways ;)
is she not breeding pedigrees then? I can't understand how her mind works???
I'm not sure Dawn, she has a heavily pregnant tortie but sadly she must have been out as we didn't get to see her. I think she just breeds for the sake of it. I asked if she brings a stud cat in and she said you can but you can take the queen to them and sometimes it's easier, but then when she let the "Bengal" out, she explained that she'd disappeared for a while and she's obviously been caught :sneaky: She was also showing us photo's so she's had quite a few kittens, and she also had a couple of BSH's at some stage but sold them. I think at the moment she just has the Tortie and the "Bengal". I keep putting Bengal in abbreviations as to myself and Susanne, she looked just like a moggy :shy:
-
its true that ignorance is to blame a lot of the time, I know from my own point of view I've changed my mind about a lot of things since seeing what people on here do - hope you manage to get through to her
-
It was a little awkward saying anything without dropping myself in it. I told her we'd recently lost our cat and Amelia was the double so just wanted another cat, with Sasha, I said my friend was looking for a Persian and that's who we were getting her for :innocent: I will try and have a chat to her and see if the tortie can be sorted out at least.
-
I keep putting Bengal in abbreviations as to myself and Susanne, she looked just like a moggy :shy:
Definitely not a pedigree Bengal imo. May be a Bengal mix.
She did seem to care about the cats and recognised that the little black and white girl would benefit from being spayed as she didn't handle pregnancy and birth well, but on the other hand she was letting them all go outside unspayed. So even if she had a pedigree cat it would probably end up mating with a local tom cat. The 'bengal' definitely looked pregnant. She was quite likeable and showed us lots of pictures of cats and kittens she'd had, but it definitely seemed to be something she was doing to earn money and not for love of the cats or a particular breed. She didn't seem to have had them any for long so seems to buy them or acquire them from somewhere then either sells them on or lets them have kittens that she can sell. The Persian was a cat she'd got from a friend quite recently as a pet, and she had been spayed and microchipped before she got her. She seemed to have all the paperwork that you get with a pedigree cat, including care guides (there are standard templates on GCCF website that most breeders use) and I'd guess that somewhere in there would be a clause about returning the cat to a breeder if she couldn't keep it anymore. I don't think she'd ever read it through as when she was handing it over she noticed a paragraph that stipulated the cat should be spayed (which she had been by the previous owner) and seemed confused as to why that would be required. But overall, she was definitely misguided and just not very knowledgeable rather than out and out bad.
-
Thank you guys, so much. I know some people are naive about things like spaying and we've all made mistakes but really, one look on the freeads should tell you how bad the overpopulation issue is with cats!
It's a good job Amelia didn't stay here, even for a week. :Luv: I'd have been soooooo tempted to keep her and I really can't afford another cat. :scared:
Big fusses to both of them and Susanne and Dawn - you two are brill! :)
-

I kept thinking maybe Dawn needs a foster mom here in Leeds!
Being black & white I could have passed Ameila off as my fosterer Harley and the husband wouldn't have noticed for a few days ;)

Amelia is adorable, but she's tiny, underweight and in poor condition. She'll certainly benefit from some TLC. Sasha is cuter than she looks in the photo, if you get what I mean!

You can tell looking at her eyes she's not 100% bless her :(

On a completely rough guess with the help of google maps.
101 mi – about 1 hour 46 mins

So glad you have got them both. If you phone her get her to keep that torti in, if she gets hit by a car but babies can survive is she gonna want to be handrearing, i think not.
Well done for biting your tongues!
-
Dawn, how is little Amelia doing?
-
Amelia is absolutely fine, she was really nervous to start but is a little fusspot now, Sasha is still a little growly but does enjoy her fusses especially under her chin :Luv: :Luv: I've discovered they absolutely love sardines in tomato sauce, I had to use it as a little tempter as they weren't eating too well but it must be so stressful for them. They are both eating well now though, so I'm sure Amelia will soon fatten up :)
-
But do you think she is pregnant again? I hope not.
Also how is gorgeous Peony? Can we have some more picture of her and Fredie please. ;) Only when you have time. :thanks:
-
Glad they're both doing well, Dawn. :) But I had no doubt they would be with you caring for them.
-
I'm glad they're both settling in well ;D

I don't think she is Pav or at least I hope not, she is very tiny and needs building up but I'll take her in for a check up in the next week or so to see if she's up to being spayed. Peony is still as gorgeous as ever, quite verbal when it comes to wanting food but hasn't really put any weight on, this could be down to her age though as she's fine in herself, I'll take some piccies as soon as I get chance

Just a quick update, Amelia I am totally in love with, she's a little babe and is soooo sweet bless her. I've got her booked in to be spayed next Wednesday but she will be checked beforehand as she's very skinny. Sasha is settling down now, she is quite snuffly but I think this is down to the stress of moving and the fact she had a bath before we picked her up. I feel personally that Sasha would be fine rehomed on her own but until she's 100%, I can't really tell. Her and Amelia aren't close or anything so I'd be happy for Amelia to go with another one of mine for rehoming and preferably where there were no young children, she's very shy bless her so a home with rowdy youngsters may not suit her. I will try and take some piccies when I get chance
-
So glad these two are doing well.
And pictures please when you get the chance!
-
I knew she was a sweetie as soon as I saw her picture. :) Glad they're both doing well.
-
Awww i am so glad Amelia is doing well and i am sure she will put some weight on soon with you looking after her.

Amelia is getting a little more confidant now and I fall more and more in love with her every day :Luv: :Luv: She's in for spaying tomorrow so wish her all the best, I hope she won't be too frightened bless her :( Sasha is still snuffly and she's on antibiotics now, she's a grumpy little minx but all mouth and no nastiness ;) I did catch her scraping her bum on the floor and she was riddled with worms  She also had a runny bum but that seems to be easing off now, thank god  Once she's 100%, she will be vaccinated as I never got a straight answer about this and I have a funny feeling she isn't.
-
Good luck to Amelia at the vets!
-
Sending best luck to Amelia for tomorrow , hopefully she will start uttingsome weight on after spaying.

Do you know, I had a feeling she was one of the cats that could do that - get her paws under the table really quickly! (Hence my offer of being a stopover worrying my partner!)
Good luck at the vets Amelia. :) Hope Sasha gets well soon.
-
One of my friends asked me this evening if she was stopping here :innocent: :evillaugh:
-
I didn't dare ask! ;)
-
Dawn, just wondering how Amelia is getting on? :)
-
Amelia is absolutely fine :Luv: She hasn't been spayed as yet as she's still tiny and I really want her to put some weight on. She wasn't too good a few weeks ago and I was really concerned but she's eating well again now and is a real fuss pot :Luv: :Luv: Sasha is also a lot better in herself, whilst on the phone to Candice the other night, she climbed on my knee for the first time ever ;D I was really pleased as she's settling down brilliantly now, she's even started following me into the kitchen and having the odd meow. She's finally getting rid of her snuffles, had a lot of problems with her eyes but again, these are much improved now and she doesn't have as much crap coming out of them. It will be a few weeks before she will be up for rehoming as I want her 100%, she's a little on the skinny side but I'm sure she'll start filling out soon.
Here's a piccie of Amelia I took a couple of weeks ago, not brilliant but she's a little cutie all the same :Luv2:

Awww, she's so sweet. :Luv: Bless her, she looks so nosey!
-
She is such a babe, one that has definitely wormed her way in :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

The gorgeous Amelia was finally spayed yesterday :Luv: We had to delay it a couple of times due to her coming into season twice in 4 weeks :tired: She was also booked in last week but it was discovered she had a raging case of Cystitis so Sean cancelled and he put her on antibiotics, and luckily this week she's been fine. She is still tiny and only weighs 2 kgs but at least now she has no raging hormones and her body can settle down :Luv:
-
is she staying with you Dawn? Don't know why but I thought she had been rehomed???
-
I would love to keep her Dawn but if the right home comes along, she can go :Luv: I couldn't have her spayed straight away, she was extremely underweight and not 100%, I also wanted her to come into season first as this is a good indicator of her general health. She was in season when Lainey was over, I got her booked in for when she had finished and she came in again :tired: Her op went well yesterday anyway and I have sort of mentioned her to a lovely semi retired couple who are looking for an indoor babe ;) Amelia would be perfect as she's very quiet natured and would be very happy indoors, we'll see what happens
-
Hope that Amelia finds a good home and it works out well with this retired couple - sending positive vibes to you and to Amelia
-
:Luv: Ahhh, really hope Amelia gets the loving home she deserves.
