He has developed the runs, wouldn't look at his food (not like greedy Charlie at all) and was trying to be sick. Seems it could be my fault (sorry Charlie) as I tried him on a different food last night (Natures Menu) could have been too rich?? Anyway vet said he thinks it is dietary. Poor Charlie had his temp taken (he growled at the vet!), an anti inflammatory jab, course of antibiotics, pack of RC sensitive and more ear drops. Glad to report his ear mites have gone and his infection is almost clear. I am £59 lighter too!
However he has been playing with his toys and seems ok in himself so am going to try not to worry but for me that is almost impossible. Think I am becoming neurotic.

Aw, poor Charlie, try not to worry hun
It may well be a reaction to the change of food, Natures Menu is very rich and may take some getting used to. If he's still playing and behaving normally then I'm sure he's fine, just a bit of an upset tum, that's all.
Its our job to neurotic, I've learned that myself over the last few weeks :shy:

Hmmm, you know what - I'm beginnning to think NM may be responsible for the runs in my house! Up till about 6mths ago I was feeding my lot an 'all raw' diet, with occasional NM, but for various reasons, I'd been relying more on NM pouches, in fact at one time thats all they were having - and my lot had been getting the runs on and off quite a lot. So w'ere back on the all raw again, no NM - and no runs so far!
Hope Charlie's ok and it is just the change of food.

I hope Charlie is feeling better now, am sure the injection will help.I dont remember ever paying less than 3 figures vet bill :evillaugh:Boy vet bill yesterday was £439.00 :Crazy:and this is something i have to pay every four weeks if not more,i think i have to find a job for weekends too :evillaugh:
 :hug:To you and Charlie.

Awwww poor Charlie, you were only trying to offer him a tasty high meaty food :'( Hope he feels much better really quickly.
-
awww bless Charlie. Hope he's feeling much better and sounds like the NM may have just upset his wee tum tum.
I think we're all entitled to be neurotic from time to time.
-
I would suspect NM too and my lot didnt like it, so they eat Felix pouches and nice biscuits. ;D
Have to say I dont go for putting cats onto these rich foods at all.
I hope Charlie feels better when he is eating his normal food and he is such a lovely boy ;D
-
Fingers crossed it was just the food.
-
Hope he is feeling better soon.
Must be a day for poorly Char;ie's and neurotic mums - I've been on an emergency visit with my Charlie dog today :'( Fortunately he seems better after a painkiller jab but we'll have to wait and see what's what.
-
Hope your Charlie is feeling better. My one has eaten his sensitive food, not had any more poos has been leaping about the house and is now fast asleep in his new bed.
-
Hi Chrissie, how is Charlie today?

He's fine thanks Pav, eating for England as usual. Has done a normal poo and had no more diarrhoea since yesterday morning so will let him go out to play tomorrow.
