:( Poor Gaia and Olena were brought to us when they were only 6 weeks old and hadn't had any human contact. We have worked tirelessly to bring them on to loving, affectionate and loyal cats who love to purr and play. They keep getting overlooked as they're all black and people seem to not notice them! They have so much love to give and have never know what it's like to curl up in front of the fire in a home before - could you be the people to help them? We have animated footage of them on our home a cat section at our webite http://adel.cats.org.uk
Many thanks x

These babes are beautiful, I can't believe they've not found their forever home yet....... there must be some very mad people around to not want to snap these two up :Luv:
Love the videos by the way, such a good way for people to see their personalities as well as their pictures :wow:

Thanks! We just don't understand it either!
Soooo many people want kittens and think that by a year, cats are already set in their ways and won't adapt well - it's a constant battle!

Hi Adele,
We adopted two cats last August with a similar background, rescued at six weeks and then homed in a cattery for another year. They too had limited human contact and they were very shy when they came to us. Hopefully someone will come along soon and offer them a home.
Good luck

Poor little babes :'( Have you tried putting out a newspaper appeal? One of our local rescues does this periodically and they really get a good response. I hope this year they will find their forever home :Luv: :Luv:

Just thought, have you got a CC homing page?
-
Or even a local news appeal
-
Aww, I do hope you can find somewhere for them, I can't understand why people overlook pure blacks, I love them.
-
Hi, yes we've got a CC homing page which is fab and a local news item is always an option as I know a local news director, but people in the branch are shy and don't want to be seen as the spokesperson!

Gaia and Olena have gone to their new home today!!!!!!!!!
We had to spread the net a little wider and have re-homed them to a couple in Sheffield :wow:
I think it will be very strange for them to start with as they have only been used to a pen and a whole house will be like luxery to them (never mind the garden!) We'll start them off in one room and keep a check on them, but they should be great, much loved pets!
With them and Jimbo (a 10 yo cat who we re-homed last week), re-homed, we now have two free pens to put the cats in that came from the multi-cat household - phew!

Aww that is wonderful - typical that spaces are never free for long, isn't it?
-
That is great news. ;D
-
I hope they love their new home ;D
-
Good things come to those who wait.....I bet there in 7th heaven! :wow:
-
How lovely for them, what an adventure. Hope they settle well

I hope they settle into their new home and are happy there. :)
