Have had a message from the rescue saying that Blossom has gone into labour but having difficulties, the first baby is fine, but the second was born dead and she is seeming to have issues - she was too big to have only had 2, so the rescue lady will have a trip to the emergency vet tonight - as much as they cost a lot of money, I am grateful we have that option. I also wish that the people who let her out unneutered and then allowed her to become a stray could see her and be made responsible for this.

Thinking of her and sending vibes.
-
Ahhh poor blossom ... sending lots of love and good vibes :Luv2:
-
Thanks - the E vet has said that if she needs a C SEction it will be £500, so we are trying to get a number for our normal vet to see if they would be willig to do us a favour, if not we are both going to the e vet tonight.
-
Oh poor Blossom, sending her positive vibes .

-
Good luck Blossom!
Fingers and paws crossed
-
Aww, good luck Blossom xxx
-
Poor Blossom, will have my fingers crossed for her.
(Wow, C-sections are an awful lot more expensive there! With Jasmine it was £150)
-
Hope she is ok. Good girl Blossom

Well, we ended up at the E-vet last night, I wont go into too many details as it wasn't a pleasant experience, but she has 2 live babies (and at least 2 dead) and is now spayed - for all the bad press the e-vets get, ours was very good last night and did work with us due to being a charity. We probably got there about 7.15 and she was ready to come home at 10.30. The first baby (the one I have seen) is a white and ginger female (her only ginger is her tail and a couple of spots on her body) so it will be interesting to see what the second looks like. If she hadnt been brought to us, I doubt this little girl would be alive now with the difficulties she had, so she is a very lucky little girl.

God bless Blossom and her babies and :censored: to her so called pervious owners. I hope they grow HUGE warts and their hair falls out :censored:.
cant wait to see the photos of these lucky little darlings. My tummy is turing just at thought of what could of happened to her.
People can be so calious. going no as I am a but wound up.
Love to Blossom and her babies xxxxxx

Glad you got her to the vet in time. I dread to think what she could have gone through otherwise.
Sad that 2 babies didn't make it but it could have been even worse
-
Lucky blossom, i hope her & babies thrive with no more complications

Here, here! ;D

Have just seen this and hope Blossom is going well. Glad the emergency vets treated you right...
-
Thanks - she has had 2 baby girls, a white and ginger and a white and tortie - we are looking for very special names for these two, all suggestions welcome. She was very lucky she went into labour during the day while someone was with her. The cost was actually considerably less than the first quote and less than what we both thought it would be - while we woudl have paid regardless, i know our e-vet needs paying on collection (unlike our normal vet where we pay monthly), and £500 is a lot to find quickly on a Sun teatime (fortunately we had access to a credit card, as we couldn't get hold of our treasurer), so it really does explain why people would be put off going. If I remember today, I am going to ask my vet how much it would cost if it had happened during 'office hours'.
-
I am glad things worked out well for Blossom, even though she lost two of her babies. well done to everyone involved.
-
How about Zuri = Beautiful - origin = Swahili
-
Thanks Gail, that will do nicely for one, just one more to go.

-
Glad Blossom and her babies are OK.
RIP little souls that didn't make .... you will find lots of love and cuddles o the bridge :Luv2:
-
Alison - I did nothing really, the rescue lady could have got there by herself. I will suggest names to her this week, there wont be lots of pics of the kittens though as they aren't with me. I do have a pic of mum the week before she went into labour though, will resize it later and post.
-
Well, the rescue lady forgot the names I had given her, so she has named the white and ginger Zania, and the white and tortie Tara. Zania's eyes opened yesterday, bang on 10 days, we are hoping Tara will open hers in the next couple of days. Tara is a typical tortie and hte more vocal of the 2!! Mum is doing well, still thin, but she was before she had them, and is doing a good job of looking after them.
-
Went to the rescue yesterday, these two are adorable, and it is even nicer to see Zania, as I last saw her when she was a couple of hours old. Tara hates being taken away from her mum, she is a typical vocal tortie, and only 3 weeks old!! Only got a couple of pics, as I didn't want to damage their eyes with the flash. Not the best pic of mum and kitts, as she is very loving and wanted fuss rather than sitting there and allowing me to take her pics - her eyes really are that green.

Awww, mum is stunning. :Luv: glad they're both thriving, Desley. :)
-
She is, and so loving, so hopefully she wont be hard to home once her babies are old enough to leave and she has put some weight on (she has been spayed)
-
gorgeous blossom and kitties sending lots of good vibes and hugs from me and my furrbabes.
-
:1st place: :congrats: Well done Blossom, Desley, vet etc. A very large amount of money, but worth every penny.

-
Thanks - I didn't do much though, and we were lucky the vet worked with us, or would have been an even larger amount of money!!
-
Had to go to the rescue again yesterday, kittens are 4 weeks old today, but a bit on the small side. They are trying to follow mum, so they are on a large blanket rather than a lipped bed, as Tara couldnt figure out how to get out!! She was intently watching mum use the tray yesterday, then sniffing the pellets that she had chucked out - Zania was too busy cleaning to take any notice though. Got a really cute pic of them, which will be used for our newsletter.

How're these guys doing Desley?
-
Really well, they have started to sample food now, and are walking a lot more. I will be seeing them again on Sun. They wont be ready for rehoming till Mid April.
-
Kittens are 7 weeks old now, but still 2 weeks behind their size apparently, so we still aren't telling people we have kittens. We hopefully have someone interested in mum though, but again, we dont know when she will be ready.
Pics!!

I adore the 'gods fingerprints' on mummy cat's back :Luv:
-
NEver thought of them like that!! Tara is quite similar to mum, although she has more ginger on her. Mum is such a sweet cat, she adores fusses, so I think she will appreciate having an owner to herself.
-
:Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
That teeny torti is gorgeous....didn't you want to steal one?! ;)
-
Nah - although if I was in teh market for kittens, I would be tempted, as they are both so sweet.
-
Awwww how gorgeous are those wee kittens :Luv2:
I would go for Mum if I could have another kitty to join my family. Blossom is a sweetheart :Luv2:
