This need not be answered. I just need to express my relief.
Have been trying sooooooooooo hard to post pictures. Bazsmum has been so incredibly patient and all with me - yet I still failed. Well, I have succeeded (at last!) Hope you can all see him. That's Simon. IF I can ever get any more on I will send those along too. But for just now - I am so happy to have finally managed this. As always, it was something terribly tiny. But, as was the case when my furnace died (one tiny switch needed replacing. Took him all of 10 minutes. Before which we were so cold for....) sometimes it's the terribly tiny things that get ya!
Smiling here tonight!
;D
-
hate to be the one to wipe the smile off your face, but ............... where is he? lol
-
you are kidding, right?
-
sadly no. there are no pix in this thread ... or did you post the pix in another thread?
-
He's supposed to be there under my name. I see him on my posts. Oh shoot....................
-
oooo, you mean he is in your footnote - sorry, mine are turned off for ease of loading, I will check and let you know!!! Don't panic just yet - just me being inept, not you!! ;D
-
nope, not on the footnote/signature, do you mean your avatar? the pic to the left of the messages?? If so, yes, I can see that one! and very cute he is too! :Luv:
-
yes, that's what I meant.
Trust me - it is the best I can do. And it has taken me, and HER, a LONG time to accomplish that!
But at least he's there. I will try to post more later. But not tonight. This truly has to be a savoured victory tonight!
(yes, I know. To you it is all just child's play. Well, consider me an unformed child!. But learning!)
-
He is there as your avatar.
Your next challenge should you wish to accept it is to post pics in the main thread so we can see Simon in his full glory.
Here's a few tips on resizing:
thought this might help you:
http://www.download.com/JPEGCompress/3000-2204_4-10404412.html?tag=lst-0-1
or
Image Resizer for windows XP
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
It's the 10th or 11th on the right hand side .. Image resize.
Once installed right click on the photo you want to resize.
Select resize pictures
Select advanced
Select custom
Put in 400 by 300 (sometimes you have to put in smaller figures if it is still too big).
Click ok and it makes a custom photo ready for uploading
You can resize more than one picture at a time by highlighting them all and following the resizing steps above.

Dark Moon, trust me. This is the first forum I ever joined and you are making masterly progress compared to my first faltering steps. I may be an old hand now (well, does seven months sound old?) but it took me a while, trust me!!
-
Thank you for letting me know.
My kitties (18 - this will take a while to post them all) and I have had a long week. Several, to be honest. But we are feeling good tonight. Am going to go now and have a glass of sherry for myself and open a couple of tins of salmon for them... and we'll talk to you all tomorrow (which is almost today, by your time!)
-
Thanks Sam. I will save it and refer to it. But right now.......... oh, man. I managed to get something there!
We'll add to and resize later.
But THANK YOU ALL.
Now, to that sherry........
-
