Title: Are my cats spoilt?
Post by: Reynard on January 30, 2008, 22:13:19 PM
Are my cats spoilt? Or am I just a pretty typical cat meowmy?  :um:

Yesterday I went to pick up a few items from town. Came back with three new toy mice and a tube of those Thrive freeze-dried prawn things and forgot some of the things I went to get.  :notlisten:

This evening, they've had a tea of fresh minced lamb (organic, from Waitrose).   :hungey:

Toby is now asleep on a fleece blanket on his PERSONAL sofa next to the stove - which is fueled and banked for the night.  :shoosh:

Pearl, having had her evening treat of some Thrive prawns and a thorough groom, is now asleep on MY bed with her flece blanket, hot water bottle and favourite red mousie.

This is just a brief snapshot of my two going about their daily lives. I certainly wouldn't have it any other way... Ah heck, I just love them too much!  :blow kiss:  :wish:

I sometimes end up spending more on cat food shopping than mine - my worktops have 4 bags of cat biscuits on at the moment, and that isn't even all the dry food in the house - in fact, there is food in every single room of my house, I have some boxes of NM in the front room cos there was no room anywhere else when I stocked up!! Molly has a towel on my bed which I put her food on, Zia is sometimes allowed to eat on the bed. She has a towel under the computer desk which is her favourite place to sleep and there is a blanket on the stairs cos Rolo likes to sit there. As Molly, Zia and Rolo ended up in rescue in their senior years, I think they deserve things like this.

Yup, they're spoiled - just as they should be ;) ;D It is the birthright of every cat to be completely spoilt rotten, and it is our duty and privilage as their honoured slaves to cater to their every whim - well done you for worshipping your kittys as you should, and as they deserve! ;) :evillaugh:

 :)

I can realate to all the comments. Mine have  £100 a month, for their food, litter and goodies, what doesn't get spent goes in to their bank for nasty things like frontline, wormers and even nastier boosters.

"spoiling" is just payback for all the wonderful times and joy they give us......and our soft furnishings  :evillaugh: I get so  :P or is it  >:( with stupid people who don't understand and say we make too much of a fuss of our cats.  It's like never falling in love - they don't know what they're missing!!!!
Another rant of mine is at people who say that I care so much for cats or animals whereas I should rather 'care about people' (as if the 2 were mutually exclusive!).

Anyhow a happy cat makes a happy catslave  ;D
here I am worrying about where to get the right canned food for my boys and hiding the screen from da Max in case he demands organic whatnots from Waitrose  !!  It's true that if one of them has taken up residence in the chair, we have to find somewhere else to sit of course.

Well last night, for the first time ever, Pearl deigned to actually clamber UNDER the duvet, curl up under my chin and purr me to sleep.  :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

It're moments like that which make all the spoiling truly worthwhile. :catlove:
