Welcome back home Tommy :cheer: :Flowers: :Party 3:
Poor Tommy has had a horrible week, having to stay at the Vet's, but now he is back where he's supposed to be ;D
Tommy stopped eating last Sunday evening, and as he is a diabetic, we took him in to the vet's on Monday evening, as we needed help. After an examination, he was admitted, put on an IVF drip, and we had to come back home without him. :'( He had a full set of blood tests carried out, and these showed that he had a urinary infection. He was given antibiotics, but by Thursday, he still wasn't eating properly. We went in to try to tempt him to eat with some food that he normally has at home, but even this didn't work, even though he had perked up a lot since Monday. By yesterday (Friday), he had eaten 1 bowl of food, so the vet has let him come home.
The house just hasn't been the same without you Tommy, I've missed you so much. Even Daddy has missed you trampling across his head, to get to me, at bedtime. We're so glad you're home :cuddle:
This is where my Tommy is now, enjoying his favourite pastime :Luv2:

Tommy says thank you to everyone for welcoming him home :)
:thankyou:
He has celebrated by having half a tuna Sheba dome for lunch, nibbled a few Hills Science Plan kibbles, and he has had all the jelly off a bowl of Bozita for supper. I am just so relieved to see him eating anything at all. Its a lot more than he was eating at the vet, and hopefully we can persuade him to have some more tomorrow. ;)
Millys Mum - I will try to find some pics of the gang to post tomorrow. I may have to do this if I can't find any :pic sneek:

We had to take Tommy back to the vet tonight for a blood glucose test, and to hand over his urine sample. His infection seems to have cleared, and his blood test has gone back up to 25.4 (it had gone down to 3.6 on Friday when we brought him home), so we are having to re-start his insulin injections again, and he will have to go back in 2 weeks time for another fructosamine test. I can't believe how well behaved he was this time - that's a first for him.
Millys Mum - Sorry for the delay, but I only had about 2 minutes access to the internet yesterday. Apparently my OH said that there were problems with the router. Just to let you know that I started a new thread for pics of the gang today at http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?topic=11689.0 (http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?topic=11689.0)
