Title: The sticky issue of donations
Post by: Hippykitty on January 21, 2008, 12:29:39 PM
Sorry to keep starting new threads, but this is a slightly different aspect of rehoming.

I don't want to fall into the 'free to good home' trap of people just looking for 'cheap' kittens. On the other hand I've always felt a bit iffy about money=cat.

How much should I ask for if people ask 'how much'? What do other rescue peeps do?

Sorry to be so bothersome.  :thanks:

we have a suggested £30 'donation'. So anyone coming in from our site to look at these cats should have seen that somewhere.
As soon as you talk to someone (better said han in email unless they ask directly)
explain to them that you have paid for stuff for them yourself so would be grateful for a donation towards the vet bills.
