Title: catnip dosage
Post by: hannah (weeny) on January 20, 2008, 23:11:12 PM
i know, very random, but can they over indulge???  dont want to let jasper over do it, cos i think he'd just carry on sniffing and licking for hours and not sure that would be good for him  :-:

No they will not over indulge, just let him play till he has had enough and then he will either just sleeo it off or not, as the case maybe

MIne have access to graet big tub of it from Spring to winter and they help themselves.

The problem starts when you try to stop them before they have finished, so dont  ;D

Forgive me for being a bit dim but I am new to cats! I didn't realise it was actually OK for them to ingest catnip - I thought it was meant to be in something, so Alfie plays with an old sock that is stuffed full of it. Confused !

On the whole they lick it or roll in it and sucky sock is great, Sasa uses to have one and I must do her a new one.  ;D

You can buy catnip flavoured treats not that my cats would stoop so low, they like the fresh leaves straight from the plant..............its just that my plants wont start growing again till the sun shines......................could be years!!

Its safe to eat if its organic as its just a plant. Lola eats big leaves as quick as she can   ;D
