Well my little baby girl has finally grown up. She was out playing on Saturday and suddenly appeared in the lounge with something hanging from her mouth whilst OH was sitting there playing Xbox. She'd caught her first bird - a robin (little madam). OH tried to get it off her but she was having none of it and ran upstairs with it, managed to get her outside again. Cruz tried to have a nose at it but going nothing but hisses and spits from Jet. The poor dead thing got thrown in the air and batted around....I wasn't happy :( but she looked so pleased and proud that she tried to dump it on the stairs for me  Needless to say OH had the job of picking it up and putting it in the bin. Thankfully Cruz is a bit more "simple" and only brings home pigeon feathers :Luv2:

poor Robin but thats some catch and no wonder she is proud cos birds are so hard to catch.
I know how Sasa catches them cos seen her in action with da birdy and she would take them on the wing!

Dear me I know it's a nature for cats but... if my cat ever had done something like that I would completely go :faint:
I am grateful that Oliver is happy being indoors... :)

Can't help feeling admiration for them though! My Joe persian caught a blackbird as it flew out of the shrubs. I was watching out the window and saw him leap into the air, reach up a paw and grab - it all looked so graceful LOL! That was the first bird he ever caught (last summer) and he IS 10 yrs old LOL! ;D - so don't think he's decimated the bird population too much.

Thats the same age as Sasa and as far as I know she has only caught one too ;D
