Sharon asked me to do a homecheck today for Milly. The lady sounds lovely and I am going to do her homecheck at 12pm which I'm sure will be fine. The lady said if everything is OK, she will go out and buy all the bits this afternoon - if Ihad spoken to her earlier, I would have said go out and get them anyway as she sounds lovely.

Aww, fingers crossed for the homecheck.

Oh good luck keeping my fingers and toes crossed

Milly got a home...? :wow: :wow: :wow:
Oh, peeps, you don't know how wonderful this is! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
When I first saw Milly, she was a hissing, spitting terrified wreck after being shut in a cupboard for weeks on end. Her Meowmy passed on and the lady's relatives had dogs and all of the rescues were full with kittens so they just kept her in the cupboard while we made space. :'( :'( :'(
A big pat on the back to Roxanne for bringing Milly out of her shell a bit and accepting some affection from people she trusts, but love her, she'll always be the type to dash under the bed in anyone strange comes near her. :)
Way to go, Milly!!! :blow kiss:

She looks and sounds like my mum's cat Shelley who was rescued from a Junkies house in Basildon. She still dives behind the sofa if the doorbell rings :(
Off in a minute so wish Milly luck :Luv2:
-
Hope everything goes well :)

Well, pleased to say, as far as I know they will be picking her up this afternoon ;D
They were the perfect family. Mum, dad and a very decent 13 year old son who was really excited about getting a cat - the son told me that they have to close the living room door before opening the front door to prevent her from escaping (even if she did, there is only a hallway so it would be fine)
The lady said after reading about her, she fell in love on sight and is looking forward to spoiling her rotten and will try to make up for all she has been through. She said "Milly needs some love and we have plenty to give her" (making my eyes water typing it :shy: )

oh lovely Mark - what a great outcome!! :Luv:

Will add more later but just to say, the husband was looking at feline care sites when I got there. I said to the lady that It would probably take a while for her to come out of her shell. She said it will be rewarding when she ends up with a happy calm cat :Luv2:
She asked about insurance company recommendations etc - all the right questions ;D
