The chemicals in some spot-on flea treatments may react with the plastic hardware on a cat collar. If these chemicals got into the clasp, they could damage it and prevent it from opening.
Please remove your cat’s collar before applying any spot-on flea or worming products and ensure that your cat’s coat is completely dry before refitting the collar.

Sound advice thanks Marla. Must admit this is something that never crossed my mind though I do regularly test all my Kittycollars.
-
I never thought of that either. Thanks Marla!

Hi Marla
Yes good advice.
When we met at the cat show at Olympia I mentioned that it looked like the fabric on mine had almost 'melted', and that had to be the spot-on flea stuff :shify:

Thanks for the advice, it is something I never thought of, although I think I put my spot ons a bit further down, as I have never had a problem.
-
Great advise Marla, thanks for posting ;D

That is excellent advice Marla. That had never occurred to me. Most of our Mognificent 7 have Beastie Band collars which, as you know, are velcro fastened.
PS. and at a complete tangent asuming that you are Marla of Kitty Collars, I didn't see you at Olympia this year - mind you it is becoming more and more run down as a venue and a pitch must be more costly than ever, as evidenced by fewer traders than ever.
PPS To everryone else - sorry to go off track

Hi Beanie, yes we had a stand at Olympia. Sorry we missed you!
