Title: New foster 'kitten'
Post by: Desley (booktigger) on December 23, 2006, 18:43:42 PM
The rescue was asked by an acquaintance to pick up a 8-9mo kitten today who seemed to be a stray, and she asked me. I obviously said yes, thinking it would be a good playmate for Shadow. When she actually picked her up however, she looks nothing like an 8-9mo, more like a 2yo!! She also looks very shiny, although a bit on the thin side, so when I take Shadow on Thurs (we have no vet till Wed pm anyway), I will pop her up too and get them to scan her and age her. I would imagine she is spayed with how healthy her fur looks, but will see what the vet thinks. She is a white and tabby, but has really striking tabby markings. The rescue have named her Katra.

We didn't have a good night, she isn't tolerating being cooped up very well, but she is a lovely friendly affectionate little thing, she loves to lick my dressing gown!!

:-) I have a lap cat again for X Mas!! I did have to put her in Shadow's room for a change last night (Shadow was wandering round the house), as she doesn't like the bathroom, and I dont really want them to meet until I have had her to the vet. She is fascinated with water though, she has tried to join me in the shower, head down the loo when you flush it, and in the bath and sink when you put the tap on!!

Congratulations on your new arrival, she is a very pretty little girl if not quite the kitten you were expecting!

She is very pretty, I can't quite work out what her tabby markings are, I have never seen them with wider brown stripes than black. Will have to get one of her face later - she has more white on her face, but still got the black eyeliner, and a touch of black on her nose - but her eyes are unusual.

Katra looks as though she could be related to my little fella, he also loves to lounge in the sink and bath...

She could be his double Debbie!! I am popping her up when I go to pick Shadow up to check for a chip, i can't see how this one hasn't had an owner, she is so friendly. If no joy, I will find the exact area she was found wandering and have a chat with Sue at MyMoggy.

He is - I broke my own rules and let him come downstairs last night, as Shadow loves to sit in front of the bathroom door, but she doesn't seem to like him that much when he is out in the open!! He is very playful, but constantly looking for a way out!!
