awww such a sea of gorgeous gingerness! Gingerbread man is gorgeous (and certainly suits his edible name - I could eat him up!), and Tiggy certainly is a princess! Aw Gillian, the Persians are adorable! I've never seen ginger persians before, Joe looks like a lion! And handsome Harry looks so composed! Are his eyes as blue as they look in the pic?

Oh, actually Harry's eyes are green, trick of the camera praps?!! Technically (in the show world LOL!) Joe is a 'red' persian and Sam and Jasper are 'red' colourpoints - but of course we all know they fit perfectly into the GINGER thread LOL!!! ;D

Ohhhh, gorgeous babies :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: I always had a special soft spot for orange kitties!! If I could ever convince Cris that Oliver could use a playmate (he thinks our place is not big enough for more than one cat! :( ) I would really, really like one of them :)

Yes Lynn he really was such a special boy ... he was a paddler and a dribbler and Foxy thought he was the bees knees. He also had a kink in his tail from an old break. He turned up in my garden one day and never left ... I put up posters, did the paper collar searched all the websites but never found his "owner" but he was neutured so he must have had a owner at one time. He was only with me for 3 years but he left a big space when he went to the bridge. I still believe he sent Rossi to me and I think Rossi has abit of Sox's spirit in her ... she sleeps in all the places Sox used to sleep (places Foxy and Zephyr would never sleep), she is a total lap cat just like Sox and just like Sox her favourite toy is a little black furry mouse.

Sabrina, I see Lirael gets that annoying eye gunk that my Little Junkie gets too.....he hates it when I get annoyed and remove it for him!

If Lirael would learn to clean her face properly I wouldn't need to clean the gunk, but she's silly that way.
The breeder we saved her from let cat flu go for a while then told us she'd been given meds for it when we got her. A week later green goo was coming out her nose so off to the vets who wasn't happy but Lirael recovered with just a dodgy nose and gunky eyes.

Aww thanks, Gill. I have to say I never was a fan of ginger cats. There was a big one that belonged to my Granny's neighbour that always hissed at me as a child, but one look at Tigger and I fell for him. Out of the 4 of them if any strangers come in he's the one that always gets the most compliments.

HEre is one of Gingers last pictures, taken at the age of 15, he is the only ginger I have owned, and I haven't had had lot of ginger fosters either, I have had 3 ginger kittens, a white and ginger female, a pale ginger and a ginger tom - in 3.5 years.

The only white he has is the bit around his nose and mouth and the very tip of his tail.

oooooo - ginger cats! I currently have 4. Tony is the orangiest of the oranges. Deep orange. No white. Also with multiple toes on all feet. Sam (my time-share cat) is your more 'standard' orange. And with tattered ears from where the tips were frozen and subsequently fell off. Clawdette is a pale orange lady with lovely cream swirls - also with multiple toes (over half of mine have multiple toes). And my beloved Winston is a pale, pale orange. Don't know if those last qualify, being as pale as they are. Before them was Hector. He died this past May. And before him Oliver. Would never be without an orange cat. And now there is this totally lovely but rather wild little deep ginger tabby kitten down at the dump that I am trying to talk myself out of bringing home (assuming I could ever catch him!). As I tell them - orange is THE most perfect colour.

Here are my 2 ginger furbabies. First is 3yr old Amber or Yam-Yam as i call her, she thinks the hamsters we used to have were quite funny. :rofl: And 7yr old Sammy who is up for adoption. ;D

I bought one of those gadgets that scans old 35mm negatives and has software with it to optimise the images. It allowed me to retrieve this image of my first cat, Sam (RIP).
