Merry Christmas to everyone - thanks for all the good advice and good wishes for Flora and her kittens. Picking up another foster tonight, but it's not a cat but a 7 week staffie cross puppy. Some slime of human existence decided to try to set fire to him last night, luckily stopped by a kind passer by, but for her efforts got her car smashed up.
Anyway he's luckily uninjured and I'll be having a kitten free Christmas, but a puppy one instead!
Have a good one!

God, what excrement passes for human beings? Thank goodness that considerate passer by intervened and how brave she was too. It makes you shudder to think how many suffer unnoticed or unreported.
Well, I'm exquisitely jealous...I love Staffies and I'm sure this little love will worm his way into your hearts in no time at all.
Will we be seeing some pix of him? What is he called?
Lots of love to you all and the new foster babe :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

Think you're being a bit harsh on excrement there, Roz, which at least serves some purpose in the food chain.
Thank goodness that brave woman was passing... Give the puppy a scratch from me!

>:( there is so much "pond scum" out there. Thank goodness for this little puppies Angel who saved him from the low life that tried to harm him.
God bless her and god bless you for fostering him.
Can't wait to see the pics :)

Oh poor little thing. I hope he's ok. I know someone who has just adopted a staff/bulldog x and she is beautiful.

Thank God for that lady and you Denise. I honestly and deeply feel that dross like that who can inflict such agony and suffering, regardless of any substance abuse or other range of excuses, forgo their right to life. Let's hope they go and play with the traffic.
Has this been reported to the police assuming they may be remotely interested?

thats a nice end to the story Denise. Hope he has a lovely xmas with you!!

Apparently two of them were arrested - one for carrying a knife and one for damaging her car - but whether or not charges will be brought re animal cruelty, who knows? I'm leaving in 10 minutes to go and pick him up - won't be back on the internet until next Thursday so will update you all (with pics too) then - have a wonderful Christmas!

What I find really sad is that stories such as this are becoming more and more commonplace, I really despair as to what the world is coming to nowadays. The perpetrators are scum of the earth.
Glad this little puppy has found a loving foster home though and look forward to pics.

Aaaah, bless him. Poor little guy, some people don't deserve the honour of sharing space with animals.
Looking forward to the pictures, I like staffies too! :)

Here's Rudy (named after Rudolph) - he settled in really well and we had a very enjoyable Christmas chasing him and mopping up puddles! The tree came down - but hey it was still fun. He went back yesterday (as i'm now back to work) and I really missed him last night! Anyway he will now get a loving permanent home.
Just made me remember that puppies are hard work!
