Title: Sorry, slightly disgusting vomit question
Post by: berties mum on January 02, 2008, 22:15:51 PM
Woke up this morning to find Minnie curled up on the floor at the end of the bed, which seemed odd until I realised she'd been sick on her blanket on the end of the bed so decided to shift onto the floor  :evillaugh:  I was a bit taken aback by the colour of what she'd thrown up - it was bright yellow, a really livid colour.  Sorry to ask such a disgustin question, but is this normal?  Bella never seems to throw up, but when Bertie does, it's always regurgitated food so it's brown, or green if he's eaten a houseplant  :evillaugh:  But I've never seen anything yellow before.  Minnie is absolutely fine in herself, eaten like a horse as usual today and now sleeping on a fresh blanket at the end of the bed!

How old is she? I wouldn't say normal, and worth asking your vet about.

She's roughly seven, eight at the most.  I wondered whether she'd eaten something gross outside ...

If it is bright yellow it sounds like bile from her liver, perhaps too much fatty food ove christmas?

My neighbour said it sounded like bile too, BC.  She's not eaten any treats since Christmas Day, but she does go outside so I don't know what else she's eaten.
