We are a small home run rescue, we currently have 6 cats and 2 dogs with us, another large dog is coming in tomorrow with behavioural problems.
We now have had the 5 cats currently available vet checked,they are neutered and spayed (4boys+1girl), up to date with vaccinations and have all the necessary checks completed.
They are:
Charlie=ginger, lovely, fluffy, boy, he is nearly 4 years old he has all his current vaccinations done,he is neutered and he is a big lapcat. :]
Billy=is a small little boy he is black and white with a pink nose with a big black dot. loveable and loves to be stroked...he is 3years old and neutered.
Timmy=lovely coloured tabby harmless this boy is cute and cuddly. He is around 2 years old and has all his current vaccinations up to date, he is neutered.
Miffy=lovely white and silver tabby gorgeous fluffy lap dog. He is around 2 years old also and has all his current vaccinations up to date, he is neutered. (miffy and Timmy would benefit from being re-homed together but this is not essential.)
Kit-Kat=gorgeous black and white cat, very independent, happy to be left alone and also can be very friendly if the mood takes her :]. She is 6 years old and has all her current vaccinations up to date and is neutered.

Hiya, and welcome to the mad house! :welcome:
Have you got a Cat Chat rehoming page? If not, I recommend you set one up ASAP as enquiries from Catchat are responsible for an awful lot of rehomings these days. Most rescue peeps swear by it.
Hope your furbabes get their forever homes soon.

Welcome to Purrs, we are not too far away from you, nice to see more Manchester people on here. Pics of the animals on your website are a bit tricky to navigate though.

it was as simple as i could do it.
if you want to check and test which ones are best i have a few options...

I prefer the ones that have a list of the names and a pic, and I think you would get more people viewing than having to go through a few to find one they want.

I found it quite straight-forward, don't see a problem myself, except maybe if you were looking for the pic of a particular animal and wanted to skip the rest (but why miss out on seeing all the other babes, I say). A great site - did you design it yourselves?

that just brings me to the main menue but no pictures

on the main menu is a rehoming tab, click on that and scroll down a short way and you will find a filmstrip of pix under one large one. click on the small pix and they are enlarged into the big frame

i get nothing except a big no entry sign at bottom on tool bar so i reckon access level is wrong for puter................very strange but dont have that with any other site

Yes and very frustrating because my security is not set that high and causes no problems anywhere else but this site will not let me into that section. I can see the rest,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well I think I can!

I have and I can see all the rest of your sight except anything in rehoming.
I have not come across any other site on the internet where I cant see it!

You see nobody knows they have a problem if they cant see anything unless someone tells them there is something there! I only knew cos peeps here said they had seen the pictures and I hadnt.
Now when I am looking at this site for instance I have two things that appear at the bottom in the tool bar from my browser, first one is an eye with a restricted access symbol............red circle with white bar acrosss it, and Next one is the world with internet wriiten.
For your remong page the world symbol and internet is replaced by a big no access sign and restricted access written.
Will just go and check but dont think this hapens on the rest of the site.

Just checked and the whole site comes up as restricted sites, so I think you have security setting in there that prevents some browsers veiwing.................it could be I am actually not seeing other things you have too but I wouldnt know that.
I can see Buzzs story and the home page and also links under forum but not much else.
You ladies are much more IT litterate than me cos my only web is through frontpage, although I know a small amount of HMTL,,,,,,,,I must get better in the New Year :evillaugh:

i just viewed it on internet explorer and firfox and mozilla and lynus stylus to check and it seems to be working? unless you are on a mac i cant view that?

I asume that freewebs provide you with the templates and you just add pictures and words?
But it seems that they have put something in to try to fix a problem with viewers who use IE6 as opposed to IE7

Now I use IE6 and maybe there is more stuff hidden in the code or the fix is not working, I dont know.
I dont know enough about the coding to find what security may have been put in but I do not use the top level of security cos its too restricted so am on medium security as that allows me to access virtually everything................well except your site LOL.
If Ruth...................RUTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH are you watching, sees this, she maybe can tell me what the problem is ;D ;D

maybe if you start a new thread with the relevant title and in the tech-help section, people who are tech=heads can get into the conversation - they may not realise with this title that the conversation has turned to technical matters ...

lauren my partner does web design and cant find the problem in the css rulings and... we have ie7 and it works fine.

Also many peeps on here dont use IE at all, does it work in the other browsers and have you tested it on IE 6?

Some of us look through them all even when we're NOT looking for the perfect purrey :rofl: Little Billy reminds me of my Bridge babe Tiny with that black spot on his nose and those long whiskers...sigh.
I notice on your web page you are always on the lookout for blankets and bedding. Are blankets made from knitted or crotcheted squares any good? I have loads of them (not full sized blankets - more of a throw) and also some fleecy mattress covers and loads of towels. I used to live in Radcliffe (am in Bolton now) so I could deliver if you're interested.
