Title: Fish Oil
Post by: Desley (booktigger) on December 29, 2007, 11:39:13 AM
Decided to start mine on this, as Zi has a patch of dry fur on her back, and grooming hasnt' done anything. The stuff I bought is Omega 3 Fish Oil High STrength - contains 1000mg. How often can they have it? Molly and Zia shared one this morning and I gave Rolo about half of one, and they have all eaten their food, but with it being high strength, can they have it daily, or every other day?

If you look up a product branded for cats and check the ingredients/dosage you could work it out from that  ;D Vet uk sell some skin products, not sure if they are fish based tho

Not sure if it helps as it's not the same product, but I give Jaffa 1 500mg viacutan capsule per day.  It's a combination of plant and fish oils.  Recommended dosage is 1 capsule (500mg) up to 5kg body weight, and 1-2 capsules for 6-10 kg.

Hmm, going off the Viacutin, I am OK doing half a capsule for each of them.
