Whilst in work today, a lady come rushing in to see if anyone owned a cat as it had just been hit. A land rover hit her and then drove off :censored: The lady slammed her brakes on as she would have hit her as well, she said she rolled 3 times before stopping, poor baby :'( She brought her into work and I rang my son to bring a carrier so I could get her to the vets. She has cut all her mouth open, lost some teeth, hurt her feet and had blood coming from both ears :'( :'( I took her to my vets and she's been examined, there are no serious injuries that they can see apart from the head trauma. Her mouth will be operated on tomorrow once she's got over the shock and she'll be monitored because of the head injury. I hope she'll be alright bless her, I'm calling her a her but could well be a little boy :-[ I went in to see her this evening when I went in to see Jasmine and she's very frightened but thankfully seemed ok.
-
I hope shes ok, some people are so spineless >:(
Hopefully her owners will be reunited soon
-
Karma - lets hope the land rover rolls over 3 times and gets wrapped round a tree >:(
Poor cat - hope she's OK :ahh:
-
Positive vibes from me too and well done that lady and to you of course for getting her to the Vet
-
Poor little one, its sad that people dont stop to check.
Its great, you were there to take her to the vet,and hopefully getting her quick enough to vet will save her life.
I lost 3 cats to RTA, and two had no scratch on them and one made it through cat flap and the other to the front yard, i always think if the person had stoped, he /she might have saved them!?
Dawn, i am sure her owner will thankyou so much for helping their little cat.
-
Oh the poor poor baby .... sending lots of love for a speedy recovery and fingers crossed this little soul has a microchip and can be reunited with her mummy and daddy who must be worried about him/her.

Hear Hear :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:
Special quick healing vibes sweet one xxxxxxxxxx

Karma - lets hope the land rover rolls over 3 times
Funny enough I said the same thing to the lady who brought her in. I'm sure she'll be alright but no sign of an owner as yet, I've enquired locally and I'm wondering if she's come through the woods as they are directly behind where I work.
-
How could anyone just drive off, unbelievable :censored: Thankgoodness for the lovely lady who must have saved the poor girls life by rushing her in.
-
some people >:( :censored:
Well done Dawn, and well done to the lady who cared :)
I hope furry babe is on the mend soon, and has still got her other 8 lives left :shy:
-
No words are bad enough to describe the person who left her. Thank goodness for the other lady and yourself. Fingers crossed she will make a full recovery and be reunited with her family.
-
This little cherub seems to be making a good recovery but will be having her op tomorrow. She was a little dehydrated today so she's had fluids and been syringe fed but should be able to come home tomorrow.
-
Presumably home is with you for now? That's really nice for her and hope her op is successful as is her recovery
-
I'll be keeping everything crossed for this little one
:censored: driver who left her >:(
-
Hoping this little one is well on the way to recovery.
-
Presumably home is with you for now?
Yes, at the moment she'll be staying with me until she recovers. Still not had any news of an owner but fingers crossed someone will turn up.
-
Oh Dawn, I agree no words can quite be said for the :censored: that drove off. I hope they one day know what its like to be left defenseless, alone and in pain :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:
I would be mortified if I hit any animal with my car and the first thing I would do is rush it to the nearest vets!I would never forgive myself if it was fatal - I think these people have no souls >:(
I hope the poor baby makes a complete recovery.
-
I think she'll be okay, I was worried about her bleeding from her ears and one pupil was dilated but she seems really bright. The vet said she'd been out of her cage today and seemed quite lively. Once she's been sedated tomorrow she'll have her op and they'll check her over properly. I asked the vet to do x rays on her but with what's happened with Jasmine, I don't know if they've been done. I've just completely lost faith in vets today, I rang the other vets on Friday about Jasmine and it was the vet I won't deal with on but in hindsight, I'm wondering if she would have got the better deal going there. I'm phoning them in the morning anyway to see how she is so I'll update then
-
Thank goodnes that someone helped the little one. How do people sleep at night after hurting a defensless animal and just driving off :censored: :censored: :censored: Totally agree with the Karma.
Fingers crossed that she makes a full recovery, Im sure she will with your TLD Dawn xx
-
Awww, i hope she is ok.
and as for that driver! :censored:
has anyone heard this? that if you hit a cat, you don't have to stop! but you do for a dog! totelly wrong i know!!!!!! :censored:
Chris.

This little lady seems to be okay although she's not eating on her own yet so I've had to syringe feed her. She's on painkillers and antibiotics and hopefully should be right as rain in a few days. I'll take some piccies of her later :Luv:
-
Oh good news Dawn - any word of her owner yet?
-
Nothing as yet BC, I'm going to put a notice in the vets when they open again. She has got a lovely nature on her although a little timid which is to be expected really.
-
Good luck with this little lady - I hope that she makes a fully recovery. No microchip I suppose?
-
No microchip :tired: I asked at the houses near work but it's possible she's come from the council estate which is directly at the top of the woods, I'll put a few posters up and see what happens.
-
How is she getting along Dawn?
-
She's doing really well now and eating properly on her own. I'll post some piccies of her later
-
Great news ;D
-
That's great news that the little one is doing well - bless you, Dawn, for taking her in and nursing her, and to the lovely lady who was kind enough to stop and get her to safety. I totally agree with all sentiments already expressed about the driver in question :censored: >:(
Thank goodness there are kind people in the world - hope she continues to recover well, and that someone comes forward to welcome her home.

When my Matilda was knocked down, it was witnessed by two ladies in the car behind the one that hit her. They said Matilda rolled in front of the car, towards the kerb, and the car slowed down, the passenger door opened and someone looked out, and then they just drove away :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: The two ladies stopped and rang me from the number on Matilda's collar - they could tell her neck was broken and she was already gone as soon as they moved her, but the people who hit her couldn't have known that, and didn't stop. It haunts me still :censored: :censored: :censored: Glad this little girl is doing okay
-
Grrrr.....people like that make my blood boil. How dare they think it's acceptable to just leave an animal to suffer in that way?
Glad the little one is doing well, DD.
-
Great news Dawn - If it wasn't for you and the lady that phoned you, who know what would have happened to her?
-
I've christened this little lady Holly and she is gorgeous. I'm a little concerned about her ears as she doesn't seem to be able to hear, this could be due to the bang on her head so I'll have to get her back in for a checkover.

She's gorgeous Dawn, bet you will find her hard to part with
-
poor little girl, I hope an owner comes forward soon - I hit a pheasant the week before chirstmas and i'm still thinking about it
-
Dya know it really really really amazes me how cruel & wicked some people are :censored: :censored:
If someone lay him/her infront of my car & said ok go for it.. I would very happily run over them.. as slow as possible too :censored:
Ive been very lucky & never hit anything.. if I did It would haunt me forever.. things have ran out & I swerve or slow right down & have neally caused accidents (& been sworn at by everyone) but its just natural reaction...I cant help it..
Hope the poor thing finds its owners
-
Bless her she is absolutely beautiful. What a lucky girl to have you to look out for her.
-
Sending gentle headbutts to Holly.
She's bootiful :Luv:
Thank you for all you've done and are doing for her Dawn.
-
Awwww Holly is gorgeous - I hope her hearing returns :Luv2:
-
Holly is beautiful - she reminds me of my Minnie. I hope her owner turns up soon :scared:
I know what you mean Lisa, hitting an animal is one of my worst nightmares. My mother hit a dog once - nothing she could do, it ran straight out in front of her - and she was mortified, but luckily it wasn't badly hurt ;D
-
Big cuddles to Holly. :) She's a lovely lady - and what a trooper.
-
DD she's an absolute scrum bum :Luv:, she's a total poppet give her a  from me & mine xxxxx
Evil :censored: that just looked at her and then drove off, the sooner they get what's owed to them the better evil swine. >:(
-
I've taken Holly back to the vets today for Sean to check her ears as I'm still not convinced she can hear properly. It looks like she's got lots of little tumours forming in her ears :'( He didn't even check her properly and her ear was bleeding straight away so I'm not sure what this will mean for her. He's got her booked in for tomorrow but it's not definite he will have time as they are chocca, he's going to attempt to blast the tumours and have a good look to see what's going on. Keep your fingers crossed for her, she is a little babe and I just hope she won't be in too much pain afterwards :'(
-
Hope she's OK DD
Poor little girl :ahh:
-
Poor girl. Hope it goes well for her tomorrow, she has had a bad enough time as it is.
-
I know, it's just so depressing when things go wrong for them :'( Sean said he can't even see down one ear, and I'm again peed off with the other vet because when I picked Holly up after the RTA, the vet gave her no drops, just the antibiotics >:(
-
Awww, no. Good luck Holly. Hope your ears are sorted soon.
-
Sean's just rang and Holly's fine. He's removed 2 tumours from her ear but she has a few small Melonoma's as well. He thinks the tumours will reappear at some stage and he doesn't really think she's destined to be on earth for a long time :'( She's an old cat and hardly has any teeth, and she's had to have one rotten one removed today. Her ears have been cleaned and basically it's a case of wait and see, she has to go back in a week for a check up.
-
Ah poor old Holly she has had such a time of it. Let's hope what time she has left is lengthy and that she can have a comfortable happy life.
-
Holly's now home and she seems pretty comfortable. She had a painkilling injection and some antibiotics and Sean said the ears were horrible. The masses she had were in her left ear, they were very deep down into the ear canal and had pus surrounding them  Both ears have melanoma's and there was a lot of bleeding during the op but in herself she seems fine :Luv:
-
Glad she is home and seems happy.
-
Glad Holly's on the mend. :)
-
Really hope Holly keeps on making good progress
-
I took Holly in to see her Uncle Sean the other day for a check over. She's doing really well, he can still see the stalk of one of the tumours in her ear but there's no infection which is good news. He said with Melonoma's, they are an aggressive cancer so for rehoming purposes it may be better if need be to get her a foster home rather than a forever home. He really can't say how long she has got, she hasn't gained any weight since I've had her but he said it's possible she will have cancer elsewhere in her body. I will just have to keep an eye on her and have regular checks done on her ears but at the moment she is eating well, is happy and loveable and has even started having the odd meow at me :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Ah bless the little sweetheart may she have this good quality of life and happiness for a long time to come.
-
Poor Holly and she is so gorgeous, I hope that she will be happy and pain free for as long as possible
-
Glad Holly's doing well. She does look a lovely little girl. :)
