Title: RIP Beauiful Roxy
Post by: sheryl on December 17, 2007, 09:14:15 AM
Our lovely gentle big girl Roxy went to the Rainbow Bridge on Friday afternoon, I havnt been able to post before now as the tears just wont stop. I know she was a good age at 18 but I miss her so much.
Roxy was our first cat and from the moment I saw her at 11 weeks old she stole my heart, she was in a pen at a rescue centre and when we walked in she was climbing up the fencing and yowling at us - we hadnt gone to get a cat but just to donate some food and blankets. OH looked at me and said "can we take her home" - I wasnt sure because at the time our dog Bobby was in quarantine and I didnt know how he would take to a cat. Well she came home and when Bobby came out of quarantine it was love. Every furbaby from them on that we inroduced to our home she accepted and mothered as if they were here own.
We miss you so much Roxy and you will always be in our hearts, have fun at the bridge and I am sure that there will be lots of little ones that you can take care of Love you sweet girl xxx

Sheryl so sorry for the loss of Roxy somehow the time they have with us is never enough
She sounds quite a lady who had you hooked from the first meeting right up to her going to the bridge
Only ever borrowed never owned but always a pawprint in your heart
Sorry again for your loss

Sheryl - I too am so very sorry but I'm sure Roxy had a brill life. Think of all the good times, the daft times and the crazy crazy times. Have a cry and have a laugh too. My 1st cat was 26 when I had to let her go to puddy cat heaven and my 13 yrs old cat is missing at the mo. However, I now have a rescue cat, Bonnie who is 10 yrs old - only been with me a week but it seems like forever. I still think of Tibby and Smudge and always will. Unfotunately it's all part of life ... but not a very nice part.
Best wishes.
Mary
P.S. - great poem Stuart - I'm in buckets of tears here!!!
