Seems its not only the shops who are experiencing the Xmas Rush this year!!
We're always busy at this time of year but this year just seems to be to the extreme!
Got 2 mothers and 9 kittens to pick up tomorrow night that some lovely folks want 'rid' of before Chrimbo!! nice of them eh!
Got plenty of rushing round to do today but now gotta make room for this lot for tomorrow. Looks like an afternoon re-shuffle for me!
;D

Better your overcrowed with them. Than the poor little darlings be thrown out.
Poor babies. :censored: I hate people. >:(
You guys are not people - you are Angels xx
-
I just cannot believe what people can be like >:( How could they do this. At least this bundle of kitties will be safe with you. Lots of  to each and everyone of them.
-
Poor Mum and babies :'( At least they've landed on their paws with you to look after them. Give them gentle cuddles from me when they arrive
-
I will pass on the cuddles this evening when I pick them all up!!! We're already full to the gunnels and this puts us at overflowing using up all the last of our available pens (including our pop up cages). Spent yesterday avo getting all the rooms re-organised here as they will have to come here as there is no room at Cupar and last night til about 9 (when I got back from running errands) setting up all the cages for tonight.
But couldn't see this little lot possibly put out on the street. Will try to get some pics posted for you when I get them back safe and sound tonight.
-
Aww, so sorry you are so full and having to fit in so many kittens, I do hope this is your last emergency of the year.
-
If iwas anywhere near you i could have maybe fostered over christmass/new year as I dont do this time of year.

Hi Folks... never quite got round to posting about this little lot last night as we were so tired when we got back. Was about an hours drive there... pick them up as quickly as poss and head straight back.
Beautiful little duo of mums and the kittens are gorgeous too. All are extremely skinny / underweight and will need building up, wormed (now treated for fleas as they were liping with them!) and some general TLC. All kittens are very wary of you coming towards them (but no wonder considering where they came from) so they're terrified of being picked up. They are also nowhere near the 14wks old we had been informed they were. Nearer to 9-10 weeks. :tired:
They are much safer where they are now and will have regular access to food and water. Especially the mums who if I'm honest I'm more concerned about. They are extremely thin and drawn. Kittens hadn't been weaned off them so they have continued to give the babies everything. Also, the mums have been going out and in the house since they had the kittens so there is a big chance they are both preggers again. One of the mums already has quite a belly on her... hoping its worms but it may not be. People! >:(
Will upload some pics shortly and link them across to let you see them. Not the greatest of pics but took them last night once we got them back here into their pens.
Fingers crossed for this little :Luv2: lot. Will be heading out to get some chickens for them later when at the shops to help bulk up the mums.!!

Fingers crossed for them all.

Ohhhh prrrrrrrrrrrr what wee cuties!! :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Aw you truely are a Christmas Angel
The mums dont look much bigger than the kitty's, but I have to admit they are stunning little cuties :Luv:
Well done. please dont call them after raindeers  I got a cat at this time of year and they had been renamed prancer and dancer, changed them pronto to Jack and Zoe :Luv2:

Yes they are very young mums ... they were supposed to be about 2yr old... don't think so though... they are in very poor condition but even then we'd put them at 12-18mths old.
mmmm names... yes we have been thinking about that one... we (as in Paul my OH & I) like to give them names around the same theme. But coming up with 9 names for the kittens will be a challenge... any ideas?? ;)
Mums are marbles and bubbles... but we may well come up with something better in the many weeks we will have them.
We already have a few vetted homes that some of the kitties can go to with no children... kittens are terrified of being picked up at the moment cos of the kids in the house they came from. They will be with us though for another 3 weeks at least anyways until we get them to a nice weight and 100% as I never let anything go unless I'm 100% happy with the health of the kitty and the home its going to. Also, bearing in mind the time of year! ;)
I'm sure there will be more pics again soon... they are so cute! lol
Ideas on names welcomed tho... bit stumped at the moment! :)
-
They are so adorable!
Glad they're all with you now and will have a safe and happy time.
-
Oh the little sweeties - the mums as well as the kittens. They're all gorgeous bless them. :Luv2: If that little blue is a girl, Pearl says that you are welcome to call it after her. :Luv2:
One of my friends calls her cats after characters in opera! :evillaugh:
-
Aww, I do hope the mums aren't pregnant again, they look quite thin and young, bless them. I am sure you wont have many probs homing the kittens in the New Year.
-
ahhhh :Luv: What a beautiful bundle of kitties - the mums do look so young. I am so pleased that they are now safe and sound with you and will get some well deserved TLC.
-
hope they are all well today and gaining confidence
-
AWWWWWWW Sarah
What a fab family you have living with you. The Mum's look much younger than 18 months. Those kittens are just :wow: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
-
well they are all rested and had a good feed up and are bouncing about with more energy than they had when they came in! Put them in the hall for a while to tire them out... nearly 2 hours later and still waiting!!! lol ;) Great to see tho. Altho dunno if my hall would agree with the mayhem ;) lol
Here is a wee sneak preview of their antics. Don't worry about the Grey at the end... he just got himself a bit stuck and was fine after I made a diving grab to catch him! :)

Thought I'd drop a line with a wee update on this motley crew!!
Mums are doing good and are finally starting to put a little weight on. We still have a horrible suspicion that the tortie may be preggers and are hoping we are wrong tho. But there appetites don't show any signs of slowing and they are bright and happy so we're happy! ;D
The little ones have had a wee virus going through them all and have been taking it in turns at being rather low the last few days but with antibiotics that seems to be under control! ;D They are still ALL extremely thin and small tho for their age... 4 of them in particular so we have started our weighing regime once weekly to keep an eye on them all. The larger 3 seem to be doing fine its the other 6 I'm more concerned about as we have 5 week old kittens at our other branch that are bigger than the smallest 4 of this lot!!! :scared:
They have all been wormed when they came in so hoping that things will start moving in the right direction for them very soon. Will try and get some more piccies of the little monsters later who are so much more full of life than they were when they came in.
Another good point too is that they are finally settling down to being handled and not running and cowering in a corner everytime you go near them. Even the little ginger who was the worst is quite happy for you to pet him and he will come to you... just not keen on you going to him... but at least its a start and we're sure that with time he'll be just as friendly as the rest are becoming.
They have all been through so much already... so looking forward to them having a much happier, brighter future. ;D
-
Aww, thanks for the update and do hope the tortie isn't pregnant, and that the babies continue to improve - keep us updated.
-
Aww bless them, id go for seasonal vegetable names such as sprout for the tiny one, parsnip, turnip, carrot, swede, spud, peaz (this is a street cred name), cranberry and apple. Holly and ivy for the mums
Or you could through the cheese board.
Edam
Brie
Cheddar
Stilton
Wensleydale
Caerphilly
Philadelphia
Gorgonzola
Parmesan
Mozzarella
Leicester
Houloumi
Feta
I like crazy names because it must give the chip company data inputters a laugh. People always change the names to something original like sooty and smokey anyway :tired:

In our branch we've got Bangkok and Hilton and we've just named a cat Neelix. (Sharon is a trekkie! :evillaugh: ) My last batch of kittens were Princess, Jasper, Zorro, Emily and Tuppence. :Luv:
