I have just phoned back a lovely lady who cares for her 2 cats really well, She was crying as she is now homeless and living with her mum who has asmtha and her two cat are making it worse. She is desperately trying to find a temp foster home for her 2 cats before she is forced to give them up.. She cannot afford cattery fees or is there any space around her if she could.. All rescues are full (including us) i was saddened to not be able to assist but all i could offer her was to phone some vets that may be wiliing to board them for a month, because thats how long it will take her to sort her affairs out..
She was literally trembling and so upset.
I hate this time of year.. its about the fourth call i have had this week for one reason or another (very genuine) cats are having to be rehomed..
Its very upsetting, esp as i couldnt even give her a glimmer of hope.

I am so sorry things have been hard, there does seem to be something about this time of year and people being made homeless, so sad for them as well as their pets. Hope things improve for you.
