Title: Cat Body Language?
Post by: carl (billy and baggys dad) on December 10, 2007, 15:02:08 PM
Does anyone know anything about cat body language? I reckon it'd be good to know what my lads are thinking and feeling - can you pick specific things up from their body language? I'm assuming tail position is an indicator of mood, as are ears etc - are there any more? Any books on the subject?

Ta for any pointers  :)

You need to read some Vicky Halls books and a book called Catwatching by Desmond Morris. Both authors have amazing insight regarding feline psychology. :)

I know we've seen it before but this is one of my favourite cat body language pics  ;D

I love Frankie's question mark tail as he hops up onto my lap on the sofa.

Cheers

Thanks for that, just been reading it. It's always nice to work out what Memphis is feeling/thinking. He had his tail down a lot the other day which struck me as odd. According to this site he was Potentially Aggressive. He was in a very hyper mood then wanting to play with anyone and everything. He was very playful and very pouncy on his toys and me  :-:
