There will be turkey on the menu for the wonderful rescues at Paws Inn, as always it will be lovingly prepared and served in the usual dishes, in the same old pens as it is year after year after year.
There will be lots of the usual cuddles and the usual apologies that we haven’t found the purr fect home yet along with the same old hope that a home will turn up in the New Year.
Christmas carols I’m sure will be in abundance as the cats sit idly listening to the same old Classical FM that they listen to day in and day out.
There’s a limit to what will fit in a Cat Pen, no room for a tree which they would all love to climb and batter the gaily coloured baubles around. Just the same old scratching posts and usual ball along with a new catnip toy.
No freedom to choose a trip to the great outdoors in search of a mouse or to slip and slide on the frost underfoot; no chance to chase that fallen leaf that teasingly dances outside of the door, No chance of having the luxury of choosing which lap to adorn, or whose bed to pounce on at 5 in the morn.
As I ponder whether Santa has forgotten these beautiful felines at this special time ,I look back on last year and realise
The Best are always Kept till Last.
So to each and every one of my precious little charges I promise the same old thing to you as I’ve done to others every year ,you will be in your own
purr fect home for Christmas with a lap and a tree next year.

Hello T, that is alovely sentiment - we will all keep our fingers crossed that all good puddies have a loving home by next christmas. :Luv:

Blip was six months in a (communal) pen but I suspect the little purring being sitting hard against this keyboard as I type thought it was worth the wait.
May all your little ones be equally as lucky as all the well-loved puds on Purrs

Just off the top of my head I remember making that promise to Carls Bilbo and Baggins and look at them now absolutely Purr fect
-
Made my cry that did.
-
Me too CC :brokenheart: Every kitty deserves a lap to sit on a Christmas :'(
-
Aww Teresa thats such a beautiful statement, got me in tears here :(
At least all of the Paws Inn babes are lucky enough to be in a loving, warm home at christmas rather than outside
-
:brokenheart:
-
My sentiments exactly.
-
Teresa, you are a truly amazing lady. :) The cats in your charge might not access to a lap 100% of the time, but they certainly have love. Merry Christmas to them all. :)
-
Lots of cuddles to all of them Teresa. And you have a wonderful Christmas as well - you certainly deserve it. :Luv:
-
That was so sad Teresa and all of your cats have a wonderful place to stay warm and fed this christmas and even without their forever home they so much better off than many others
Happy Christmas to all the cats in your care and also to yourself. ;D
-
That brought a tear to my eye - at least they are with you, and have love, warmth and food, they could be a lot worse off. I hope that the New Year brings lots of new homes for them all, and not as many needy cats next year.
-
Well I dont make idle promises and yesterday we got a Reserve on Izabella and her daughter Freya who will be off to their new home together in the New Year.
My tears are for the ones out and alone but heigh ho we`ll see what we can do for them too.
-
That is wonderful T, good luck for more reservations. And fingers crossed for the ones out alone.
-
T that's fantastic!
:Luv:
-
Wonderful news for Izabella and Freya ;D
-
Great news....and what a lovely person you are T... :Luv: :Luv:
-
Teresa, as others have posted - the cats at Paws Inn are so lucky to be there with you. It is great news about Izabella and Freya - I have only just realised that the lovely Jess has found her forever home too - always had such a soft spot for her. Happy Christmas to all at Paws Inn.
-
Having had the privelige of visiting Paws Inn, I can confirm that any cat who arrives there is a very lucky cat - although Teresa is, in the best possible sense of this expression, always delighted to see the back of them
-
here here... at least they are all safe, warm adn loved Teresa... their perfect home will come along one day soon! :) xx
-
Hope they find their forever loving home 2008. Good Luck to Fraya and Izabella on their new adventure in 2008
Best wishes to you and yours Teresa for 2008

I am sat here with tears rolling down my face, tears of joy for Dear little Amelia has just left for her forever home. Amelia as many will remember was one of the Cupboard cats who had such a pityful existence before they came here. I dont normally rehome until the 2nd January but Amelias new home will be all quiet over the New Year and her human will be off work for another week to supervise introductions with the existing 16 year
old cat. I think Amelia has deservingly won the Cat Lottery.
-
Oh what brilliant news :wow:
Amelia deserves her good fortune :Luv:
-
Aww, that is wonderful T, I hope they are all very happy.
-
Great news T, she will be very spoiled no doubt, as she is a special little lady
-
:yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy:

-
Woo hooo what great news for Fraya and Izabella and Amelia (who looks like she has already made herself well and truly "at home").
Keep up the good work T and fingers crossed all the Paws in furries will be in their own forever home very soon
-
Amidst the chaos of a needy dog being brought to the Inn it was decided that Izabella and her daughter Freya could go to their new home today; so we have just bid them a very fond farewell but I have a feeling we will be getting to hear about them fairly soon as it turns out their new dad is already registered on Purrs.
-
Aww, that is wonderful, and how good we will get updates!!

Ummmmm a dog? Wouldnt have thought that would go down too well with the residents?
-
Today it was Florence and Megan`s turn to go to their new home together.
And a huge thank you to Claire who has fostered them for the last 8weeks while our pens have been full.
-
Wonderful, fingers crossed you continue on a roll.
